When you can't answer the question, change the subject

You're probably still unsettled by the loss to Honduras, so I'll excuse your mistake. But it was Angola, not Ghana, that Mexico couldn't even beat.

Pardon me, Hondorus got lucky and Mexico set up their own downfall and if I remember correctly, we outplayed Argentina and were robbed on the biggest stage in the world, where did the US finish? With 1 lousy point from an Italy own goal.

Mexico, no discussion is needed, when the US produces a Champion like Sanchez or Marquez, then come and talk to me, until then silence. This Mexican team is a team in transition and at the moment, US have the slight edge with Bradley (sp).

What about "SUCK in Germany" don't you get???
Try arguing about the USA "B plus" team beating you this winter in Arizona. And the score? Dos a tzero --it never gets old.:D

Seeing Mexico play the best football in the world under LaVolpe never gets old, seeing us play in one of the best games in recent WC's against Argentina never gets old.
USA style sucks big time, all you got is Freddy Adu, who is a poor man's Dos Santos.

Ah, now I get it...
When Mexico loses - other team got lucky or Mexico beat themselves
When the US loses - they suck, always have, and always will
Mexico didn't get any more "robbed on the biggest stage in the world" than the US did by the arm of Torsten Frings in Korea so I don't have a whole lot of sympathy for them.
They may go on to win this tournament, but right now I'm really enjoying the fact that they may not get out of their group.

Right. And Freddy Adu is a U-20 player who can't get a call up for the main US team.
Would Gillett and Hicks let Rafa buy somebody so we can have something Liverpool to fight about.

He should sign Marquez, so I can lavish praise on the greatest centre back in the world.

Please let this happen. I'm going through withdrawl to the point where I've been reduced to arguing USA-Mexico. :D

Yes same, but you Yankees won't admit Mexico is the better national team, and is generally a better country. :p

I admitted that Mexico will generally do better against high class international opposition than the US. Only point I made is that head-to-head, it basically comes down to who is at home. And we did win the most famous "neutral site" matchup.
I've been to Mexico several times, and to several big cities. It's great if you like anarchy in 120 degree weather.

No when Mexico loses it’s because we were playing poorly and as a result lost or it’s because the other team had that extra amount of luck, hence Maxi’s goal at last summers World Cup.
You even you admitted you don’t do as well against top class opposition like Mexico. We can mix it up with the best in the world, and true we might not always come out on top, but we go down fighting, does the US? Not from what I have seen, you dig your own grave and then lay down in the grave. Excuse me Kikin was fouled on the edge of the penalty area by Heinze and it was dismissed because Ayala was the last man, even when he had little chance of making it over to Kikin. Heinze should have been dismissed. I remember the Frings incident and it was unlucky, but it wasn’t as clear as Argentina’s dirty tactics, they knew we had their number after Marquez scored the opener. Then they relied on the head of an injured Borgetti who shouldered on, we had Argentina’s card, they managed to have that element of luck. It was the same with Angola and Portugal.
Good for you, I enjoy watching the Yanks playing for showers of shite like Everton, Fulham and Sheffield Wednesday.

Yes, head to head US has the advantage at the moment, but people will remember that Mexico played the best, attractive football at last summers WC and was robbed by Argentina, so you keep your once small ounce of history.

Oh dear. I knew I avoided World Rivalries for a reason.Boy, do I know what you mean. These guys didn't 'hear' you all all they're on their own agenda.
We have two threads going right now, this rivalries one and the wish and speculate thread and I'm staying away from both.
How did it go with the girlfriend thingie? Or have you got your mindset going places East right now? Must be exciting for you. My daughter's packing up to go and teach in Shanghai after the summer.

Eh, not like I'd hoped. It doesn't really bother me though - I'll be out of here pretty soon anyway. Can't wait.
