Does anybody know of any downloading programs? Not like KaZaa, but the types where you get something from a website and download it like it was through FTP (one in particular is very popular and well-known, but the name escapes me)

I use FlashGet and FlashFXP.

Do you mean download managers? Like GoZilla?

Thanks a million, bud. I looked for FlashGet (since it sounded familiar) on downlad.com and came up with results which included 'GetRight' which is EXACTLY what I was lookign for... I'm now downloading the newest version over KaZaa. I'm in your eternal debt... for 10 minutes

Nah... it's 'GetRight' I was looking for, it was just very hard for me to clarify what I meant without terminology (my PC was broken for about 2 months and I've just been online from time to time on my dads iMac (the one with the swivel-screen!). My PC got fixed a few days ago, so I need to get al my programs back)

Same thing. You on dialup or something? I no longer had to use download managers once I got DSL.

Yep... 59kbps, best available in the SOUTH of Dublin (as south as the Alamo is in the US), but the digital networking has finally reached here! in TWO (maybe three) WEEKS I'LL HAVE ASDL! IT'S ABOUT TIME, I had to download a driver for my printer (lost the installation cd) that was 166mb's! Took me over 12 hours... bring on the broadband!

As for GoZilla, I guess it's the same as GetRight, I've been off computers (more or less) since my (now-fixed) PC broke a few months back, and am not good with remembering program names (hence this thread)

Anyway, thanks a million... my printer now works!
