Transfers in and out, what's happening?

I'm getting slightly concerned. We seem to be linked with every player in the league yet nothing has been finalised. Just brings back memories of last year when Pardew chased a lot and finished with very little.

Why hasn't Parker been finalised?

Just like to see a few things being completed.:confused:

I want to know what happened to Scott Parker. We should have heard after his medical what was going to happen. As for cahill and Johnson, the everton cock heads have turned around and said we will not be selling ANY players to west ham. So I hope they do lousy in Uefa :mad:

If I understand the Parker situation correctly we are waiting for the Barton deal to go through so that fat Sam will allow our deal with Parker to go through. I have a feeling that Sam used our strong interest in Parker to warn us off Barton in an underhand way that only fat Sam knows how.

So for us to choose between Barton or Parker is no contest really.

Also in the mix no doubt is us waiting for Parker to arrive before agreeing NRC's deal with Villa. So we are all swapping players around in a backward C direction, geographically speaking.

I read today that Routledge is looking to leave Spurs. Is he a left or right winger? Also all rumours of Keiran Richardson have gone quiet. I watched his penalty for England U21 and he took it with his left foot!! So is he a left footed player on the right wing?

Our right winger problem is the main one IMV.

I read on the beeb that Everton want £20m for Johnson and Charlton want £18m for Bent.

Neither is worth that amount IMHO.

Ashton is twice the player that either of them are. I wouldn't mind seeing Richardson at UP though.

I don't think Bent wants to come here, not too gutted as the price is far too high. Likewise with Johnson, he's good but not £20m good! We do need strikers though, I don't think Tevez will be with us next season unfortunately and we don't know how Ashton is going to be after such a bad injury.

Bent would rather go to the Spudz by all accounts. Which paves the way for the return of one Jermaine Defoe - I'll stop calling him mini-Judas just in case he does come back :)

Interesting isn't it T? I actually think that Defoe and Ashton could be a fairly awesome partnership. I think we would have to accept the fact that Defoe is a good player who I think has been underplayed at Spurs but is still in the England setup.

I also have a feeling that we may hold on to Tevez for a while at least. I like the way Eggy is doing things and he is obviously, along with Curbs, very patient but very focussed on who we will buy. That's why I don't believe 90% of the paper talk about who we are chasing. I just want us to get busy!!:)

Eggy JUST stated he was very confident in keeping tevez. He says "Something happened, but I wont reveal what just yet" OOOOHHHH!!! Sounds promising! As for Defoe and Ashton, I think it will be defoe and zamora. Ashton and Tevez in the partnership I dream of!

As fans it's difficult to be patient but we need to remember that quality signings do take time and hurried signings are usually a mistake.

I think I can safely say hand on heart that, all things considered, I would rather have Tevez on our side next season than any other striker in our league.

I realise that's a bold statement when you consider the fact that this would include the likes of Rooney, Henry, Drogba, Martins, Yakubu, Berbatov, Keane and Defoe to name but a few.

But a world class player with all the attributes that Tevez has who is settled in at West Ham and plays every game with his heart on his sleeve...? That's a rare thing nowadays and he would be almost impossible to replace.

According to the newspaper Record, West Ham is a serious candidate to buy Nuno Gomes. The london club is preparing an offer of 4,4 million euros, 600 thousand less that Benfica want for the player.

Expect him to score 6 or 7 goals...if many. :p Benfica fans will be happy if this transfer occurs.

Bent would be a great signing for us. Non pretentious, regular scorer, pace, strength and the ability to play with Ashton and or Tevez.

Yes I would overlook the huge fee and just be glad he has signed for us. That's if he does sign. I don't think it has been confirmed yet. But the same report has appeared on different sites today and that tends to be a positive sign.

It also stands as more evidence of how serious Eggy is of taking us forward and eventually into Europe.

Interesting goings on with Bent turning us down and Yossi reportedly handing in a Transfer request. I'd be disappointed if he has since he made all the right comments after a new 5 year deal was put to him. Methinks that there is more to it than gets reported. However if he doesn't want to play for West Ham then I say get the best deal possible for him going.

I'm still hopeful that we can keep Tevez at least for this year and whilst Bellamy playing for other teams is a complete git, in a West ham shirt he could look very good:) .

Through out all of the reports, I find it best just to wait for Eggy's official staement on the Official site. There is so much speculation going on, it's ridiculous.

What is curious is the lack of movement of players away from the club. Harewood, Ethers, Reo etc....is anything happening?
