Cabanias wasn't called up because he has been playing too many games in the last few weeks , the coach said that he will be in the NT for copa America , but they are giving him just some time to rest.

I'm still holding up some hope for Cabanias mainly becuase I remember back in 97 and 98 we use to argue about how useless Pepe Cardozo was, how he couldn't do s...t for the NT but then he proved all of us wrong , by being the all time leading scorer for the PYan NT team so there might be some hope for Cabanias still, and Caniza and Paredes are hurt.

Defenently not, Cabanas has done more then Pipino in America but for the Paraguayan NT he hasent done squat, he scored 1 goal in countless games and usually plays Houdini for the NT.

I think he's a great player himself but I just don't think he clicks with the NT

He was given rest, but I'm actually more comfortable with Tacuara Cardozo upfront then Valdez, Valdez can create chances but can't score for shyt.

And at 6'4, Tacuara can be a problem for the Mexican defence, especially on the headers.

We got 2 giant forwards in Santa Cruz and Oscar Cardozo :D

One of our main problems over the years, had been that our useless coaches, where calling up guys that were bench warmers in Europe just for the simple fact that they played in Europe and leaving guys that were dominating their respective leagues just to give room to the bench warmers, our new coach is trying to break that habbit and that is why Haedo was left out, the guy has so much heart and plays with huevos, but unfortunally he will find a way to hit the post or to shoot it wide or he will just miss by inches, that is way he has scored 1 goal in the last year.

I think hugo will start nery to see how he plays with temoc and bravo. I'm guessing if he does start nery he'll be starting instead of venado or torrado...most likely venado cuz he played good with torrado against iran...and also isn't venado injured??

Also I would definately like to see arce come in in the second half...he had a great game against iran...
