Three days and we play Slovakia, a win here will put us 5 points clear against the Czechs and 6 against the Irish respectively.
I would say a win surely means the qualification for EURO2008
Nobody is injured I think after yesterdays game so we could play the best we have at the moment

I predict a 3-0 win and i hope we start Gomez this game instead of Kuranyi

5 points clear of second place will ease some preasure on the team but we still have a ways to go to ensure qualification. Who knows, we can slip up against the Czechs and CYPRUS in the second games.

I wouldn't really change anything for this game line-up wise except:

---------------------Hildebrand----------------------

Lahm--------Mertesacker------Metze-------Jansen

----------------------Frings--------------------------

Fritz---------------Schneider------------Hitzlsperger

-----------Kuranyi------------Klose-----------------

Gomez and Helmes should come on at halftime if things are comfortable and perhaps Schlaudraff or Trochowski later on.

Hildebrand in goal??

I thought hilbert did ok yesterday by the way. Not that he should deserve the start against Slovakia but it was good for a virtual debutant

Kuranyi and Gomez should play upfront. At the moment there's a bigger chance of me getting a blowjob from Jessica Alba than Klose finding the back of the net.

Hildebrand in goal is wishful thinking....I think he deserves it, given his season with VfB, and it's the perfect game for some GK rotation.

I put Klose in the formation because I believe Loew has confidence in him and will start him regardless of his lack of goalscoring.

Must be a slap in Gomez' face...

I still think that players should be nominated due to performance, and not due to former merits!

I agree. Not (as has been suggested!) because of Lehmann's mistake on Saturday, but since it's the perfect time for some rotation. Doubt it'll happen though.

As for Klose, he still has a chance to prove himself, and he just might. Is Gomez fully fit to play the full 90 minutes? That could be a concern, since it was the last time for VfB.

Apparently Gomez hasn't fully recovered yet so he'll most definitely come on as a sub.

Gomez said he doesn't mind starting on the bench being that he's only had 2 good games while Klose has been scoring for years.

Miro is also confident that he'll do well on Wednesday, lets see how it goes.

Either way, I don't think our performance neccessarily depends on him playing well. We've shown that we can win even when Klose is out of form and we're missing key players.

did u see what Gomez said about it in the press conference?

Basicly that Klose plays since years for the german NT and is a very important player to the NT so that he doesnt expect to be in the starting formation cause of 2 goals against a team like San Marino.
Gomez shows a great attitude there (down to earth) and tbh he is right, not too long ago Klose was rightfully considered as a top10 striker worldwide.
Its true that he is totaly out of form but its also too early to drop him because of it.
Next season it will be a different story, by then Klose had a break and regeneration and prolly a fresh start at Bayern, then Gomez or anyone else can start instead of Klose if he still doesnt perform.

Schlaudraff is injured (backache?). He travelled to Munich for medical treatment.

What you said above is even more true if things are not comfortable at halftime. Löw made quite clear that Klose will start the game, but I guess he won't get carte blanche. At least it would be stupid, with Gomez in such brilliant form.

It is no time for rotation. This is an important game that could almost secure us the EM qualification. And Hildebrand has been a awful for us in the last games, regardless of his good run with his club. He just don't have the nerves for the big games and the national team yet. No time to risk him again. Maybe he could play against Rumania in September as Lehmann will certainly get the friendly against England.

Ironically, Jessica is currently giving me a blowjob & says you are next up, Hendrik. :D

Prague, yes.

I think the only player we can't replace is bernd schneider at the moment. And frings.
