Where was everyone?! My dad and I were the only people at Tir Na Nog watching US-Cameroon (we showed up early and watched Brazil-Turkey too). We've never been there before and it was a great place - Ken, the manager is very nice and a big soccer fan. He put the games on just for us.
Here's what my satellite viewing experience has been: A friend who gets Dish Network in Lancaster gets both Galavision and Telefutura (and I'm assuming the much more common of the tri, Univision). I'm seeing most of the matches at his place. Tir Na Nog has DirectTV and he's able to get Galavision (not sure about Telefutura).
Anway, I thought we looked great against Cameroon - lots of sharp, crisp passing and decent ball control for a change. "The Group of Death" for sure. I think we could have done a lot worse and thought we didn't embarras ourselves too much against some very respected teams. A few bad calls, a few bad-lucks, and a lucky chance is all it takes sometimes. I thought it was good practice for the kids to be playing in an FIFA environment without the pressure of the WC.
