For the past year there's been all this talk about sub 20 players being considered by Acosta he's already taken Vidal and i read in Cooperaiva that he still wants Sanchez and at one point Vidangoosy all selfishly to cover his ass for Copa America.. jeopardizing the sub 20's chances of doing something here in Canada. I think that there is time for a change. Chile have a very good team on their hands but he cant get them to play together.. at the moment Chile is showing nothing and it looks like its going to be more of the same in Copa America... So why not save all the the time after the disapointing Copa America and bring on Borhi already...

 Haha, man, it's already too late for Copa America... but I definitely want him gone after Copa America ends. He needs to quit calling Ismael Fuentes... also I don't see any tactical work on the field. Que hacen en los entrenamientos?

I'm a little mad he didn't call Lucho Nunez... but yeah man, Acosta needs to open his eyes and see that Mati can't play Copa America. I mean, he's not even starting for Villarreal for this very same reason... the guy is freaking dead.

At the moment the only person qualified is Borghi, my only concern is if he's tempted by one of the big teams in Mexico..
if that's the case we're stuck with Acosta for the qualifiers:eek:

I have mixed feelings... on one hand I want Chile to do good in Copa America but on the other hand I want Acosta gone. He'll only be gone if Chile has a disastrous Copa America... :(

Yeah i know what you mean i thought Nunez would have been called for sure but Lorca?? He is a good central forward but is not a starter in Colo Colo. I would have liked to have seen Canales or even Villanueva ( the dude that used to play with Racing and is now playing in Korea) i might have misspelled his last name :o
Fernandez needs to rest we need him for the qualifiers..
but for now how about trying Mirosevic :)

Mirosevic por Fernandez suena bien. Mirosevic tiene marca... le podria dar mas balance al mediocampo. Quitamos uno de contencion y ponemos un delantero mas. :p

Acosta is having severe problems handling the team, deciding to play Jiminez in the last minute of the game against Jamaica, and Jimenez for the most part refusing to go, is in defiance to a head coach, and a sign of disrespect, Acosta has clearly lost the morale and mental aptitude of the players.
Only the Copa America can be his redemption, and right now only the element of surprise or some major reversal of fortune is in his favor.
I think his time is done, Eliminatorias needs to be carried out by new blood, I would really like to avoid having to change tecnicos mid way through the qualifiers.
Acosta's problems plus ANFPs further mismanagement, are helping no one.
And you guys are on the right track mentioning Mirosevic, there should be room for him on the 22. Guy came back from winning the Israeli Championship and participating on some level in the international playing field, Mirosevic on the Right can't hurt.

I think he should go right now this very second. Some of you may say its too close to Copa America but so what? We already have a small chance of doing anything good there WITH him so how much could it hurt to have someone ?

Who would replace Acosta? Not one name comes to mind, and I'm keeping Pelligrini out of the picture due to a realistic interpretation of him wanting to stay on the club level and in Europe.

Borghi es el unico, a menos que claro (como tu dices) Pellegrini se fuera del Villarreal (poco probable).
Al Ingeniero me lo guardo para las Eliminatorias a (_______) 2014. :)

I totally agree..
Lets hope that Mayne Nichols has the balls to fire Acosta now rather than the first round of Copa America..
that would be sweet :D

As much as we all would love to see Acosta leave right now, it is pretty much a moot point. We should at least try to be "politically correct" and make it seem like he can get through this Copa America in peace. :)

Ya me imagino al Clavito retando a Valdivia por mascar chicle o alguna otra cosa por ese estilo. :p
