Well, San Lorenzo just tied with Argentinos. I guess that this will make Russo consider lining-up more of the 1st team.
I hope he doesn't go ballistic ... the last thing we need is to have tired legs/injuries for Thursday's game.
Heard that the only sure 1st team playing is Palacio. So expect a Palacio-Marioni attack. I would also WANT to see Marino play the enganche/2nd DM role, as he did with Sir Coco for the Recopa against Sao Paulo and the first 6 games of the Apertura. Why isn't Russo trying it?
In any event, this game is a distraction as much as a temptation at this point.

What a bad display really. I'm not even going to comment on it.
Once again we fail to catch up on San Lorenzo when they drop points and I think we're pretty much out of the league race.

What's wrong with my buddy MA Russo lately? His subs have been nothing less than puzzling except for the Ledesma sub in Asuncion.
Couldn't he see that the problem this afternoon was in the middle once again? That Orteman couldn't keep the pace with Centurion once Roman came in, nor have the clarity and speed to become an aid to Roman everytime Roman received with his back to goal?
Having three forwards is never a solution when your mid is slower than the opponents. It becomes a ping pong of long balls. What do yo have Riquelme in for then?
The Ledesma sub was a GIVEN since the start of the 2nd half. Instead of lining Palermo or Palacio, the team needed Ledesma in. And to take Orteman out. Hasn't Russo realized that Ledesma is the 2nd most important player of this team after Roman? And perhaps the most important player this semester because he is the ONLY player that can give equilibrium to Boca's mid.
The tournament is way over now. When you miss that many chances at goal like in the first half ... you will most likely suffer them. Boselli still lacks the calmness to have a wider angle of view. Twice he shot on Tombolini, twice was Battaglia open 2 yards away from the goal line.
Like most would say after watching a mini-skirt blow with the wind ... c'est la vie.

Y Battaglia? Mas lento que un bolero. Far from what he use to be. Him and Orteman playing together in the middle is a disadvantage for boca. Which to me is fine,nothing like whn the kid banega is in there and of course without JRR.
