(Londres) Se muda a Inglaterra, Claudio Pizarro llegó a un acuerdo con el Chelsea y vestirá la camiseta de los ‘Bleus’ por los próximos cuatro años, en una operación que le permitirá al peruano percibir 50 mil euros semanales.

De esta manera, nuestro compatriota cumplirá con su objetivo de militar en un cuadro grande del ‘Viejo Continente’ y que a la vez dispute la Liga de Campeones.

En los últimos días el técnico del Chelsea, José Mourinho, había solicitado a sus directivos que se apresuren en las negociaciones con Pizarro, pues temía que la Juventus se les adelantase y se quedase con el peruano. Finalmente el portugués contará con nuestro compatriota en sus filas.

En este nuevo ciclo en la liga inglesa, Pizarro se reencontrará con un viejo y querido conocido, como es Michael Ballack con quien llegó hacer una buena dupla en el Bayern Munich.

Se espera que en breve se realice la presentación oficial del peruano con su nuevo club. Por lo pronto existe gran expectativa de parte de los medios británicos por su arribo a suelo inglés.

Pizarro will become the third player to arrive at Stamford Bridge this summer on a free transfer, with Steve Sidwell joining from Reading and Alex, the Brazil defender, returning from a three-year loan at PSV Eindhoven. Pizarro, 28, scored 97 goals in 229 appearances for Bayern Munich and has been recruited to apply further pressure to Andriy Shevchenko and offer cover when Didier Drogba and Salomon Kalou are at the African Cup of Nations in Ghana, in January and February.
