Uwe i was hoping nobody would remind me of the bitter result.....you never SEIZE do you? Simonsens single goal was worth liverpools 3 goals altogether:(

Uwe

I know you are younger and more up-2-date but i speak from experience...regardless of what happens this season..i dont see this gladbach squad having any super-star break-thru player/players yet...even if we qualify which is great.Perhaps thru the up-coming years some of these players obviously will turn into skilled players...but we live in a different world now and by the time some of these guys might florish either the team has changed or we sell them to other rich clubs...i just dont see the kindda player/players in gladbach that within 10 min or so(for example) turn-around a game...most prof teams nowdays have signed such players and we see the results!
Consistency is key , perhaps for clubs with less history and reputation..just qualifying to the 1st liga is great....for gladbach its not enough! but oh well it is what it is:rolleyes:

Injury concerns

Today's press conference was dominated by two selection worries, though Borussia coach Jos Luhukay was unable to say whether Sascha Rösler and Patrick Paauwe would feature in Osnabrück.

We're facing injury problems (Rösler & Pauuwe are very doubtful), nevertheless we simply have to take advantage of tonight's 2nd league results and enforce the turnaround in Osnabrück (although the hosts belong to the best home teams)!

Have a nice weekend.

Jena came back after being 2-golas down..lets see if we can take perfect advantage?

Well, we didn't. Still no win after the winter break...

I didn't see any scenes of the match, since I've just arrived at home ... but it seems that we missed a few opportunities to score the 3:1 after the interval and conceded a silly penalty goal then. Simply can't believe that once again we didn't manage to win after a lead!

At least Rob Friend scored twice after a longer dry spell. Just surprised to see Daems replacing Rösler in the midfield instead of Polanski (who played quite well against Mainz).

2:2 in Osnabrück

With a quarter of an hour left Borussia looked certain to win in Osnabrück. But the home side made it 2-2 in the 76th minute thanks to a Thomas Cichon penalty.

Home game against Erzgebirge Aue (one of the weakest away teams in the league, but very dangerous as they are fighting to avoid relegation) tomorrow evening ... and it's high time for the 1st victory after the winter break!

It seems that there could be some changes in the line-up, especially on the defensive & offensive wings.

I haven't stopped trying to keep track of how the team's doing despite not being able to watch their games. Their current slump is a bit of a concern to me- is the injury bug still biting them pretty good or are they simply underperforming at the moment?

Tomorrows game IMO will be the "make or "Break" point in this season for Gladbach!
Seems like an easy game..but its actually the other way around!
The pressure of collecting all 3 points against a team from the bottom of table is massive...specially when we are continuing to score and later on losing the result..which is very strange for a team that is aiming for the Bundesliga and Europe later on!
Just seems we have this problem and it just hasent been corrected after almost a month into the season, which makes u wonder is it more a matter of mental/technical coaching and smarts or..injuries??i dont think inuries are the case..

Cant complain,i hope this is the turning pointfor us and not just another lucky win...as far as "Touma" goes ..i didnt see him in the line-up,oh and i will not even bother with the argentine..LOL!

Man where is Effenberg...we need to place an order for one:rolleyes:

So i see" touma" played, for some reason..on kicker report it didnt show up or perhaps i missed out..i had a strong feeling he should actually play as well..his very speedy relaxed and technical..can convert from a midfielder to an attacking position in the field..am surprised we are not giving him more chances?

Uwe check the website bellow :) dont get too excited..its not related to the "FOHLS"

Touma came in after 70 minutes and apparently played quite well (from what I've read in the official BMG forum)! He was unlucky to hit the post once again (like he did in Munich against 1860) with a header...

What a relief when the video board at Playmobil stadium in Fürth announced the 2:0 from Borussia-Park!!! :) Finally we managed to extend the lead instead of conceding the equalizer.

Rob Friend was terrific again with 1 goal & 1 goal assist ... and Oliver Neuville finally scored again, too!

Now I can travel a lot more relaxed to Augsburg next Friday. ;)
