However, I expect a similar tough game as it was against Jena! Paderborn has the 3rd best defence in the league and a manager who knows us very well. Nearby they need every point and will surely fight as hell!

Let's hope that our guys will be concentrated and don't understimate them ...

Well, I knew what I was talking about...

I didn't watch the game, but from what I've read and seen in the DSF summary, we must have played the same awful first half as we did against the other bottom team Jena a few weeks ago (especially the midfield seems to have been very weak) ... and this after another 3:1 away win against a top side.

It's more than obvious that we underestimated them, and in the end we have to be content with the 1:1 draw despite Colautti's great chance in injury time! The second half went better, and we took the lead through a superb free-kick goal from Coulibaly (who came in for Marin) ... but 4 minutes later, Rob Friend acted really stupidly and got sent off with yellow red.

Well, this performance and result surely was a little disappointment ... however, it might also be a warning that we didn't get promoted yet and can't afford to underestimate any team in this league!

Despite this little setback, we can be very content with the "Vorrunde" and have to be proud of the job done by manager & team! Thank you, guys!!!

Any chance the Colautti will get a start after the break? Or will have to wait until one of your other strikers run into a vein of bad form?

With Friend getting a red card in the last match, I'd say his chances of getting a start are decent. After the first match back, not so much :D

This is just my opinion here, friend and colautti should somehow play in the line-up due to the fact that they each bring a different strength to different areas of our attack,id say touma also has lots to offer....thats when the coachs job gets crazy technical..and how to line them up!
It would be great to stick to a more attack-oriented midfield with players that have ability to strike at any time but also lock our midfield belt(which i believe we have that in BORUSSIA with the above mentioned players and its a real blessing!)...the best D is great attacking power!
Friend is a good pick for air challenges and physical challenges in front of the goal..whereas touma and colautti are more technical and speedy on the wings and on the filed up close and personal on the goal-line,just like oliver...should be great to use as many of them as possible to let them mature up and find their mesh in the field:rolleyes:

I don't think we'll see them play together in a 4:4:2 as long as Oliver Neuville is fit.

And don't forget Nando Rafael (who was our only decent striker last season after Neuville's injury).

Well I got my "Weihnachtspakete" from the German auction place that many of the BL teams work with. They cost about 20 Euros each and I got them from 6 teams (HSV, Gladbach, Bielefeld, Braunschweig, Wolfsburg, and Leverkusen). They were supposed to have 20 Euros of stuff from the respective fanshops plus, with luck, a special prize. They were interesting but a couple were not worth the money. All came in a nice felt sack with St. Nick (except the Leverkusen one, which was a stocking) and all had a walnut and some candy in them. HSV's was nice--there was a lighter and candle, which my wife did not recognize and almost started a fire :-), an HO truck, some stickers, a set of pencils and a little fan. The Gladbach package has a set of nice glass shot glasses and ash tray as well as a photo clip with Junter holding the clip. Wolfsburg had a pin, a small mascot that you could put on a car window and a window banner. Braunschweig's was disapointing--it had a team foldable meter stick, some balloons, a jersey pin (with the old Jaegermeister emblem), and a dog tag. Leverkusen had a neckerchief and a large plush mascot that doubles as a bank. Bielefeld's I though at first was empty--but it had a coupon for a jersey and flock--to be redeemend at the shop! Not quite sure how I will do that, as I'm in the US, but we shall see. All in all an interesting experience but one I will not do again--the shipping was 50 euros and the exchange rate is so bad that it all cost me almost $300 (I did get a KSC cap and Nuernburg t-shirt for about 10 euros of that total in separate auctions. However, it was a lot of fun to try once. For those that are interested, see sport-auktion.de. Note that I have found some really nice game-worn jerseys there through the years, including Frankie Hedjuk and Conor Casey's

So no Borussia-Park VIP tickets for you? Pity.

Btw: Why did you order stuff from other teams and pay so much for shipping? There was so many great articles in the official BMG fan shop before Christmas...

It's all one auction house for over 20 teams from BL to RL. They discount shipping significantly for more than one item (about a euro for each additional item), so once I'd won the Gladbach item (and I tried for more) I decided to see if I'd get anything interesting from other teams that I like (I was hoping for a game-worn shirt as some teams did put those in sdome of their packages). Some of those teams US players played for (Braunschweig, HSV, Leverkusen) and some of those guys play for my home town team Columbus Crew.

I've ordered quite a bit from the official shop before as well (100th Anniversary jersey, scarf, and book, for example) by mail and got some more stuff in 2005 when I went to the Mainz game that April. Unfortunately they are not too careful about shipping and both clocks I ordered came damaged (the second was a replacement). Their shipping isn't cheap either--last time it was $25 euros.
