"Vertrauen in die Einstellung"
Nach zuletzt drei "Spitzenspielen" (gegen Köln, in Fürth, beim FC Bayern) wartet am Montag wieder der Liga-Alltag. Trainer Jos Luhukay glaubt allerdings, dass der VfL das Spiel gegen Jena richtig einzuschätzen weiß.

Only about 25,000 tickets were sold for tonight's match against Jena. Could be a new negative attendance record at Borussia-Park...:(
The problem is that most of our fans have to travel long distances for the home games ... so Monday evening games are totally crap!
Btw: I bet it won't be an easy match for us.
Buona notte.
PS: Members of the "Fanprojekt MG" and "Fanpojekt Jena" will meet for a party before the game. There's a friendship between parts of both fanships (take a look at THIS (http://videos.kernbergmaradona.de/es_gibt_nur_eine_Borussia.mpg) clip:-)...

Yeah, I remember that Giessen has a large contingent of Borussia fans, who may only choose to take the long trip to 'Gladbach for big games (i.e. vs. Mainz or TSV 1860)...looks like die Fohlen really had to work for their victory against Jena. Now it's back to the lion's den, but this time against TSV 1860. Against TSV, 'Gladbach only really needs to contain two guys: DiSalvo and their #10. Their other starting forward, Josh Wolff, is a guy that used to play for the Kansas City Wizards and really is more of a holding forward. Moreover, he really is unreliable as a finisher in pressure-packed situations. If 'Gladbach can crack the TSV defense, then a win is certainly possible and would give us valuable breathing room at the top of the table.

Thanx. Now we both have a nice lead to spot 4, don't we? ;)

There's a lot of Gladbach fans all over the country (about 30 supporters clubs only here in Franconia). Unfortunately, 2nd league fixtures (especially on Friday & Monday) are a huge handicap for travelling to Borussia Park...
looks like die Fohlen really had to work for their victory against Jena.
It was a bad performance (I expected this, since I knew we'd underestimate Jena after the top games in Fürth & Munich) with only Neuville & Marin in a good shape. These 2 players made the difference last night (did you see Marko's great assist to Neuville's superb 1st goal?)...
To be honest, we didn't deserve the late win ... but ok, you can't play well every game. Normally you should get promoted if you manage to win such games.

I expect a very close game and would be contented with a draw (since 1860 can't afford to lose again 0:3 in a full Allianz-Arena, as they did against Fürth). I know the "Löwen" quite well, Josh Wolff plays more of a winger in Munich. They have a decent offensive quality with Di Salvo, Wolff, Göktan and Bierofka ... so we'll surely have to improve a lot in comparison to the Jena game in order to avoid a defeat.

Borussia labour to victory
Oliver Neuville's 80th minute strike gave Borussia a 2-1 win over Carl Zeiss Jena on Monday evening. The visitors from Thuringia had put up a brave fight until then. Neuville also scored Borussia's first goal.

Well, we'll have another Monday game now  ... what means I can't travel to Munich once again! :(
It surely will be a very tough top game for us, so I'm really curious whether we'll manage to stay unbeaten since matchday 3. It's more than obvious that we won't take anything from the game against 1860 if we play as we did against Jena...

Yes, it was a pity. However, he didn't play really well (it seems he isn't 100 % fit yet) and was replaced by Marin in the 2nd half.

About the game: I'm contented with the draw, but not really with our performance. 2 good chances (Touma, Friend) - that was all. The defence with problems, the midfield without much creativity & too many easy turnovers ... and the attack with no power against that young Löwen defence. I had the feeling that we were only playing for a draw, which we finally got in the end. However, we could have easily lost the game against a strong 1860 team ... since they created a lot of pressure and came close to scoring in some situations (especially during the last 15 minutes), when we were very lucky. Nearby our goalie Heimeroth with 2-3 incredible mistakes before the interval (the Allianz-Arena seems to make him nervous)...
Somehow I've got the impression that the team earned too much praising after the Fürth and Bayern games ... so the guys obviously believe that they have already got promoted and don't have to put much efforts into the game anymore. If we continue to play as we did against Jena & 1860 Munich, I'm sure that we'll face the first defeat after a long time within the next 4 games before the winter break...

Monday evening's second division clash between 1860 Munich and Borussia ended in a goalless draw. Gladbach enjoyed a bit of luck in the closing stages, however.
