Patrick Ebert got caught yesterday driving a bit buzzed (well...over 1 parts of a thousand) in Berlin....more good news for the "ghetto kids" :rolleyes:
Hertha may announce on Monday the signings of Kevlak and Lustenberger.

I apologize, I am still very new and won't get to see a game till much later, but you must understand, I am very excited (and can't use comma's properly, whatever).
Does Hertha have any major derbies? I know there's several smaller Berlin squads, do they ever play each other?

No unfortunately Hertha don't really have any derbies to speak of. The closest games you will find will be (if you're lucky to be there at the time) Bayern, Hansa, Schalke and Cottbus.

Lustenberger for the medical check in Berlin tomorrow - wish him good luck, although I think he will mainly sit on the bench this season

Probably a similar lineup as we saw against Unterhaching.

Wow Schmidt still plays...that sucks. He's not good enough anymore, but I hope for a little miracle.
As for the game itself I'm optimistic, because we are very good against you guys on the road. But this year is a new season, with a new coach...
But since "der Sushi-Bomber" is out for you guys, I think we will win ;)

can you guys tell me how piszczek has been playing in pre-season...I know he hasnt scored a lot.

He sure has impressed Favre though. I say out of all the people to take part in pre-season, he's gotten the most plaudits. Reckon he will start against Frankfurt. Hope the goals come from him, I think he can do it.

Cagara? Right now he will probably start the season as a backup, but its very complicated his situation and I don't know how Favre thinks of him. Right now, he's the backup LB, but I expect him to play in the U23 team and maybe get a chance somewhere along the line.

In an interview with hertha.de, new signing Fabian Lustenberger believes that his best position would be center midfield, or center attacking mid.
Hertha are also beginning talks about a 6 mio euro transfer of Marko Pantelic to Besiktas, who are offering 2.5 mio euros a season to him. But it is the B.Z. so....

Someone was spreading the rumour that Favre wanted to resign yesterday because of the fact that no good players were brought in.
Of course he denied.

I have not. I will look at it.
Just read that on kicker too about Favre. We brought him his co-trainer from Zurich after much fuss, so if he was to quit just because we have not brought in the necessary players (we did get him Pisczcek, Lucio and now Lustenberger and we will get 2 or 3 more), then he shouldn't coach here.
I think it is pure rubbish, as is the Pantelic rumor.
