According to Bild Jerome Boateng is close to agreeing terms with Hamburg. He doesn't want to extend his current contract which runs out in 2008.

Unless HSV want to buy J.Boateng right now, they are not allowed to approach him before January.

He must not sign before then ( unless Hertha agrees ). All we know for certain so far is that he currently does not want to sign a pro contract to extend his current 2008 amateur contract.

Maybe he just wants evaluate the new coach. Given the current team mechanics I can't blame him.

his salary to be increased from 100 k € to 1 million € per year.

The kid is 18 and just made 10 BL matches.
Sure, the kid has potential, but IMHO salaries must
be based on something - on performances.

I don't think he's played a first team game yet for Toulon, but he is an Ivory Coast U-21 international, 18 years old too, might be good.

Also on trial with the club is 26 year old defender Gregory Arnolin, who is under contract with CS Maritimo of Portugal.

Thierry Doubai has not been signed unfortunately, he'd been a more than decent replacement for Dejagah.

Appearantly DvB has been fired, considering his father's shady deals concerning Hertha's youth players I can't say I'm suprised. Rumours have it the Boateng brothers didn't show up at training today either, I wouldn't read too much into that just yet though.

Good start for Lucien Favre...3-0 win agianst Carl Zeiss Jena. Fathi and Ebert twice scored for Hertha. Ibrahimi Traore made the start for Hertha at LW, maybe its a sign that he might get some first team action this year. The same also applies for Lukasz Pisczcek, the Polish striker who has spent the last few years on loan at Polish league champions Zaglebie Lubin.

He´s a 28 years old midfielder, whose transfer rights are at Palmeiras.
Currently he´s loaned to Gremio Porto Alegre, transfer fee about 2 Mio €.
