Looks like Hertha will be signing Raffael. Fee 5 million euros.

Former BvB striker Stephane Chuipuisat seems to like him a lot. Lets hope he's right

When the former Borussia Dortmund goal-scoring legend Stephane Chapuisat talks about Raffael - the striker Hertha are currently chasing, he gets a certain glint in his eye. The 38 year old former Bundesliga goal-getter described the 22 year old Brazilian striker to the KURIER.

"Raffa is the finished product as far as strikers go. He is lightning quick, can shoot with both feet and is a superb dribbler. He is a striker who doesn't wait for the game to come to him, he needs a lot of the ball."

"I forsee a mega-career for him. He has enough quality to break into the Brazilian national team at some point in time. Sadly for us Swiss people, to do that he has to leave the Swiss league, and prove himself at a higher level. Hertha would be the perfect club for him, and with Lucien Favre in charge, he would have a coach who knows his qualities and would back him to the hilt."

No surprise here. This is the deal they couldn't get done before the summer transfer window closed. They said then they were sure this deal would be done in January.

Great move for Hertha. I hope the kid is as advertised.

The last striker Chappi praised so much was Alexander Frei and man, do we miss him!!

Congrats to Marko Pantelic, who made it (I think deservedly) to Kicker's top 11. Solomon Okoronkwo was also rated as the best substitute.

read that Hertha negotiates with Rapid Vienna to change Lima for the talented midfielder Veli Kavlak - do you know something about?

That deal has been denied by about every person involved.

Appearantly Hoeness also wants to extend the sportfive contract until 2018 to get about 25 million Euros cash, once again selling the future of the club ( source: BZ ). I can only pity his successor.

Having seen him in action, its a big reach - but it would be cool to see a Bundie side reach out for a young Yank.

Hannover reached out for Sal Zizzo. ;)

Good point, but Zizzo was a free agent. Arguez is going to have a transfer fee, and it should be small, but with MLS you never know.

Don't see DC letting him go. Seems to have some upside even though he barely saw any time with the senior team. He is a member of the nation team ( u-20) but I don't think he played that much in the World Cup. There are definately some players in MLS that could start for Hertha, just keep hands off Emilio.

Another American comes as a "Probespieler"

I believe today's "Kicker" reported the American kid earned a contract.

But, here's better news for you guys....

McLoughlin is the one I think "kicker" said earned a contract. To be honest, I only glanced over the column. Had no time to stop and read it.
