Bent has had offers from us and Spurs and will make his decision soon. Barton price will be around 5 mill, whilst Parker was 7 mill.

Bent deal supposed to be around 8 million plus.....yeah plus, Marlon. It makes Ashton look cheap, doesn't it?

Although i'm not a Barton fan he would free Parker up to play the box to box roll.

If Ashton comes back as good as he was we should have a potent attack.

Hopefully offering Harewood and Mullins as a carrot on a stick should give us the edge over other clubs looking to sign Bent.

Pardew likes receiving players as part of the deal and he will know how to utilise Harewood and Mullins. It makes me wonder if the delay is because Pardew wants Bent to go to West Ham but Bent wants to go to Spurms.

He needs to ask himself what position he would take up in the line of strikers. Would he get a game ahead of Berbatov, Defoe and Keane? Berbatov and Keane are both staying by the looks of things and of course if Bent did sign would Defoe then want to leave? Would we have him back?

The same goes for any full backs that Spurs sign. With Bale now a Spurm who does that kick into touch for us to consider?
