Uh oh!

Just got off the phone with the Brewhouse Cafe and now they seem unsure as to whether they will show the US vs Brazil game on Saturday.

They told me to check back on Tuesday. Keeping my fingers crossed.

The key is calling or stopping by when someone wh knows what they're talking about is there. So maybe Monday?

I'll be at the Brewhouse for any and all Confed Cup games they are carrying. I notice the talk has been about USA/Brazil- what about Turkey and Cameroon? Are we assuming they are definetly going to have those Galavision games, or definetly not, or...?

You may just have to tell someone to turn the DirecTV to Galavision, though.

OK.

Once again, it seems that the Brewhouse will be showing USA vs Brazil on Saturday.

After calling numerous times and speaking with various waiters, waitresses, barkeeps, etc. I heard from the general manager that YES, they will be broadcasting the game there.

As of yet (tue night) the website has still not been updated. And it probably still wouldn't hurt for some of you guys to call and confirm, just to keep the heat on them and make sure they don't forget about it.

See ya' there!

I doubt any of you were making plans to be at the Brewhouse on my account, but just for completeness I felt I should say that I will only be there for the Brazil game. I hadn't realized the other two were on tape-delay.

On the outside chance I can talk my girlfriend into driving to Atlanta to see that, where is the Brewhouse?

I [knock on wood ... alot]would be coming from Milledgeville, Ga.

Edit to say, just saw the map... will have to do something spectacular to convince her to go but I will give it a try.

I'm going to try and be there as I doubt my cable provider has Telefutura and Galavision. Got Telemundo, Univision and something else...

Oh well...

But the Little Five Points area has plenty of little shops and everything, so your girlfriend might have something to do (assuming she doesn't want to watch the game).

Make an event of it. You might have to wine and dine her to get her to come to ATL. Plenty for her to do, but if you want to make it worth her while,
check here for some ideas... (don't know your budget and such)

There is a general confusion there surrounding the entire tournament.

Many times I have called and spoken with someone who can only look at the same schedule that's posted on the website. And that website has nothing at all listed concerning the Confederations Cup.

However, the last time I called I spoke to a girl who asked her general manager about the US vs Brazil game. And he replied, that yes, they will broadcast in this saturday.

I'm not sure about the Turkey and Cameroon games. But both will be on Galavision, which is a much more readily available channel. So I would imagine so.

My advice is to keep calling and perhaps they'll get a clue and update their website with confirmation.

Try your local Mexican restaurant. I watched the game @ El Azteca in Sandy Springs. Not sure about the TeleFutura matches, but they’ve got the Galavision ones covered. As a bonus, 32oz drafts are just $4.

Okay, so it doesn't look like Brewhouse will be showing the game on Saturday. That's the bad news. And I doubt that El Azteca is equipped to show any Telefutura games (I could be wrong).

However, I started calling places on Buford Highway, and I may have found a place showing the game. The guy I talked to didn't speak any English, and I speak extremely limited Spanish, so it would be great if someone who spoke Spanish would call and get confirmation.

The place is:

El Rey De Todos Mexican Restaurant
3249 Buford Hwy NE
404-633-0130

I mumbled something about US vs. Brazil football on Telefutura, and he kept saying "Si", so I figured I was on the right track. He also said some other stuff I didn't comprehend. Anyone want to help out?

Might be good if we all picked a place and went for it.

Scotty? Anyone who has some conversational Spanish?

EDIT: I also checked with ESPN Zone, who are (surprise, surprise) not showing it.

I am willing to drive anywhere in the Atlanta area to watch the game, but I would like some confirmation that I'll be arriving somewhere that actually has it. Are we sure the Brewhouse is out? Does anyone speak Spanish?

You guys might try calling Los Recuerdos Restaurant on Jimmy Carter Blvd. They screen a lot of games and run micro futbol leagues in the back parking lot.

Other possibles are Contigo Peru or Don Taco.

I couldn't get an answer at Los Recuerdos. I'll try again after 12 pm.

No answer at El Rey De Todos yet either.

Props to artigiano.

Just got off the phone with Los Recuerdos, and they will be showing the game at 3. Great, great news.

I will be headed there sometime this afternoon.

Here is the info:

Los Recuerdos
5385 Jimmy Carter Blvd.
Norcross, GA 30093
Tel: 770-582-2511

If anyone wants to grab a table, I'll be the guy in the throwback US jersey that we wore in the New Zealand game. Cheers.
