There are rumours that Bergessio is in the plans for next season. A very interesting forward, in his explosion going forward is very similar to Palacio, but with more strength. He certainly needs to improve his finishing thou ...

Bergessio is at Racing on loan, with an option to buy for US$ 1.8 million. Boca seems to be offering a lot more than that, which is already difficult for Racing to pay.

With Palacio most probably leaving to Barza this summer, the need of a fast forward that can score but that can play along Palermo, is evident. Saba is quite similar to Martin ... which is already a plus. Also, there are offers for Mondaini, so it makes it more important to find an "outer" forward.

Estudiantes is also interested in Bergessio. It will be a nice bidding contest with el Pincha.

I have liked Bergessio since he started playing at Racing. In other words, it would be a "Vip" approved operation.

Your thoughts?

well i liked him before he got sold out of instituto so does that make him elciclon aprroved. anyways this guy is good. lavandina is a growing star, i like lavezzi more but bergessio definetly has a lot of class to him. however i think that if racing coughs up the cash then they get first bid as the have him on loan.

We're buying him, so shut up, besides Palacio is staying at Boca.

Ciclon, to me, Lavezzi will be a better player than Tevez. He is a crack, no doubt about it. I've said it a while back.

Syd Barret, De Tomasso has been very cautious to say that it "will depend on Bergessio" to see if he stays at Racing. It is about the salary he is offered, and obviously his projection to emigrate.

Boca should finish this coming Monday with the Palacio %s still in hands of Huracan T.A. and Banfield. The price of 22 million Euros for him is coming out of Barcelona, thru their press, Sport. Check here (http://www.sport.es/default.asp?idpublicacio_PK=44&idioma=CAS&idnoticia_PK=411218&idseccio_PK=803)

We'll see where this goes. I highly doubt that Boca (and the press around Boca) would start something they couldn't achieve "legally" in regards to Bergessio.

yeah, i've heard about it, but Ole today:

http://www.ole.clarin.com/notas/2007/05/31/um/01429359.html

"El diario español Sport publicó supuestas declaraciones en las que Pompilio asegura que ya está todo cerrado para que el delantero firme con el Barcelona. Pero más tarde, el vicepresidente xeneize aseguró que hace un tiempo "llegó una oferta pero no le dimos curso". "Lo tendremos por lo menos un año más", agregó el dirigente, quien confirmó que el lunes se quedarán con la totalidad del pase."

yeah who knows if boca will let palacio go.. i think its time though, he is at his prime and probably will see his highest price right now.

bergessio should be smart and take racing, that way he can not be a traitor and be with a club who needs him and can still jump to europe. however economical and futbolistically not where they should be.

 Then he has alot of catching up to do considering he's only one year younger and hasn't done 1/4 the things that Tevez has.

That being said he could be a good replacement for Palacio :p.

Well, it seems that Bergessio WILL NOT be staying at Racing afterall. Racing was behind in the loan payments and it looks like it is more likely that Bergessio will want to move on.

The price for Bergessio was 2.8 million Euros ... around US$ 3.5 million.

And now River is also interested. ;)

yeah, and i heard he was close to Estudiantes and Independiente as well, so let's just wait and see what happens instead of jumping on the computer on the first rumor we heard.
