As predicted earlier, DANNY COYNE signed for Leicester today to be Walker's backup.
Micky is also putting the finishing touches together on a deal that would take Chievo Verona's French midfielder LILIAN NALIS to Leicester. The six-foot 30-year-old hasn't cracked the first team as much as he'd have liked in the last few years. I honestly don't know much about him.
Also, Leicester are still being linked with Crewe striker ROB HULSE.

TREVOR BENJAMIN, CALLUM DAVIDSON and JORDAN STEWART will all miss the season openers due to injuries or surgery.

It was confirmed today that Leicester City are in talks with KEITH GILLESPIE and LES FERDINAND. Gillespie looks like a done deal so as long as he passes his medical...
I like it...

GILLESPIE became Micky's fifth signing this summer.
Talks between Leicester and LES FERDINAND have been confirmed.
LILIAN NALIS is expected to return to Leicester by Friday and complete his signing.
Micky is also hoping to bring in one more player, as he said he is hoping to have a total of eight new faces in the squad before the season starts,
Micky has also offered a one-year contract to GERRY TAGGART and is waiting on a response.
Finally, Leicester City will pay much of their players' wages based on appearances to help avoid future financial meltdowns and an overinflated wage bill, both of which happened in 2002.

Sounds like a good summer so far, looking far and wide for new players. Adams is all business this off-season. We don't need any more drama, just results next season

Here's drama... the Leicester City squad numbers were on it and Gerry Taggart was not included. Tags rejected Micky's offer of a contract and has not been at training so far. Even if Taggart were to sign today, Micky would not bring him to Leicester's pre-season trip to Finland as he would not be in good enough shape.
Micky said something to the effect of "I don't care whether or not a player likes me as a person so as long as he's willing to work hard for Leicester City."
The media are also reporting that Leicester have two more possible signings and that Micky is looking hard at an unnames central defender.

Micky's not done--reports indicate he's after two more players and one of them is a defender. Names that have been dropped are BEN THATCHER (again), NIKOS DABIZAS, GARY DOHERTY, and JODY MORRIS although I think that one is unlikely. Another potential signing, according to Planetfootball.com, is JOHAN GALLON of French second division side Clermont. However, Gallon has had a very poor disciplinary record on the field, and with Micky saying that Leicester really must reduce their bookings, so this could perhaps give Leicester second thoughts.
Also, more talk of the new away shirts seems to indicate that they'll be black with a blue or light blue sash and they will be revealed in about two weeks. The word is that they're going to be very nice.

JORDAN STEWART still has yet to sign, and he's rejected three contract offers!

Micky is by no means done! A young, unknown French right back, NICOLAS PRIET, has agreed to a one-year deal with the club after impressing while on trial. He came from Lyon's reserves.
Micky is also considering increasing his bid for Motherwell's STEPHEN PEARSON. This weekend, Leicester's original bid (#100,000+an extra #150,000 after appearances) was rejected by Motherwell but Pearson has also put in a transfer request.
Today, Leicester unveiled the signing of BEN THATCHER and should have things patched up with CRAIG HIGNETT as soon as he takes his medical.
The team leaves for Finland for pre-season training this week.
