Im interested to hear some input from the S04 fans in regards to new player Rakitic. How has he looked? Do you think he will have a big impact on the season? and finally, how does he project for the Croatian national team?

Give the kid a break!..He´s just 19 y.o :D
How he looks so far?..Like someone that doesn´t know the positions of his teammates but he got a wicked shoot, can play in any attacking midfield position and got pace.
Basically he is a "One touch" player so don´t buy the "He will replace Lincoln" line..He is a very different kind of player.

I am hoping for a Ruhrpott clash with Rot-Weiß! Ok, Wuppertal would be good too.

He came up big tonight as a sub and salvaged a seemingly lost point. NICE goal and one heck of a Königblau debut!

To be a real pain in the behind the debut was against Trier in the DFB-pokal game,,But as he scored in that one as well who cares! :p
Really nice goal, he silenced a lot of critics tonight...

Özil and Raktic are two great young footballer.

You are not a pain in the behind, my bad...should have said his BUNDESLIGA debut. I lost track of who all scored in the Trier game. :D
In any case, we can all agree...NICE goal! I had all but resigned myself to bringing 0 points into the derby next week.

Too early for derby time, I say. Hard to believe the BVB that shows up will be as crap as the guys we watched get smacked around on Sunday...but we can certainly hope!

You are right. After talking some smack with and English student of mine who is a Dortmund fan, I am ready for action! I will be watching from my sofa though, some day I will go to the expense of seeing the derby in person.

You´d better have a word with Schalkoholic first, as tickets for all Schalke homegames are sold out before the season starts, and as for the derby..:rolleyes:
But let us take this game by the horns, the clash between S04 and BvB is so much more than a simple derby.

Later the evening some said good we didnt score more often
