ivan rakitic...someone injure the bastard before he gets in the starting lineup to play germany in june :D...good player! Schalke MoM for me closely followed by asamoah, jones, kuranyi and the whole defence.

Best CL game of the day...schalke showed nice incisive passing movements in the first half and should have been 2-0 up...kuranyi could have scored a wonderful solo goal if only he toe poked it at the end.

2nd half porto got nowhere with a bit more possession and schalke looked ok on the break, but defended very well above everything else.

Where was pander?

He was fit, but got the permission to miss the game due to a bereavement in the family.

We might ad that a certain German tabloid is claiming that Schalke is looking for a replacement to Slomka.

Which is true and false of course, Slomkas contract ends next year so we are looking at candidates...Daum have always been courted by us for example.
The big question is WHEN a replacement would be arriving, BZ makes Schnusenbergs comment that we "would love to hire Mourinho of course.." sound like more than it is.

That said Slomka will be out if and when we can get our hands on a top coach...

It's seems your boss gets really, really scared about the scenario of not reaching at least spot 3...

Well, it seems that your weird boss is obviously becoming as megalomaniac as our boss Königs some years ago.

„Vielleicht brauchen wir auf Schalke wirklich mal einen Chefcoach, der großes internationales Standing hat."

Well, then let him fire the last popular figure of the club...:p

Schnusenberg is just our club President...He´s not the boss :D
Clemens Tönnies is DA MAN at Schalke.
And what Schnusi said was that IF coaches like Daum or Mourinho was available he would love to hire them.

Scared?..not really, but as a club we got ambitions and as 2015 approaches everyone is on their toes.

No, I'm not scared. Just amused...;)

Well, what about signing the famous Dick Advocaat from your Zenit friends? :-)

your team played nice football against porto; don't ruin that and ivan rakitic's style by bringing in mourinho

The Russians are still in love with Advocaat unfortunately...

Mourinho was just an example. The guy we have been wanting for years is Daum...

After the 0:1 home loss against Bayern, the CL away match in Porto seems to be the "Endspiel" for Mirko Slomka...

I´m not so sure...Either he is gone tomorrow or stays the season is my guess ;)
