More than 50 Liverpool supporters descended upon Germany last week for their annual Friendship visit to Moenchengladbach.

It was the third consecutive year the Reds have made the trip with the highlight involving the traditional handover of a 'Friendship flag' ahead of Borussia's 1-0 win over Schalke.

Organiser Graham Agg hailed it as a complete success.

He said: "We went onto the pitch before the game and most of us were wearing Liverpool shirts.

"It was incredible because the Borussia fans all started singing 'Liverpool, Liverpool' and the next thing You'll Never Walk Alone was played over the PA system and the whole crowd joined in.

"The same happened last year and the year before and I can remember on the first occasion one of the lads who was with us on the trip, a fella by the name of Gary Johnson, was actually moved to tears by what he was seeing and what he was hearing.

"That just goes to show how emotional and how special it is."
