Was the game on TV in the United States yesterday? Although I don't understand Spanish, I might have watched some of it if I had known there was an important game on.

man, every trophy that they bring home adds a bit more sting to the Champion's Cup semi loss for Houston...

...but still, I'd LOVE to see any CONCACAF team make waves in Japan in December. I belive they'd play Milan in the semis of that tournament, right?

I hope they do, and beat them, and if the lose i hope they win the 3rd place, like Saprissa did in 2005, not like AMerica last december, what a shame

I don't think it's set who they'd play -- the draw is done much later in the year. They will start in the semi-finals and play one of the other semi-final teams -- the AFC CL winner, the CAF CL winner, or the winner of the OFC Champ (Waitakere United of New Zealand) versus the 2007 J-League Champ*.

If they win that game, they'd face off against the UEFA CL winner (AC Milan) or the Libertadores winner (TBD) for the right to play in the final. To date, no team from any confederation outside of the big two has beaten the UEFA or CONMEBOL champs.

*=this is a change in format from previous competitions. With Australia leaving OFC, it was decided that the domestic champion of the host nation (Japan) would face off against the OFC champ for a right to enter the semi-finals.

Well that went all wrong for Pachuca...

2006 CWC winners Internacional sent the tuzos home with a 4:0 defeat in the second leg.
