The West Ham official website says today that Roy Carroll has been given his release, and that Paul Konchesky and John Pantsil have asked for release and will be transferred when a decent offer is received for them.
Not that this is a surprise, but at least it's accurate! I expect to hear that Newton and Cole will soon be in the same category.
It's who will be transferred IN that's intriguing. I hope we get topflight players, not mid-level performers. We especially need to strengthen our defence for sure, although I know several of the injured defenders will be back fully fit hopefully, like Gabbidon and Upson, for example.
With Benayoun now signed, and if Tevez stays, Ashton back fit, one more really good striker and a left-winger could do the trick!
