Hendrik. Right on man. I doubt "Bild", but I was wrong. HSV are the front-runners for Zidan. Thanks for getting me straight!

Olic, Guerrero, Sanogo and Zidan doesn't look to bad upfront:) they can all score goals especially with vdv feeding them the ball

Well, I haven't "bought into" Olic. I think Sanogo just got caught up in the "bad karma" that seemed to surround HSV most of the season.
I think Sanogo and Zidan would be deadly.
Sanogo is a guy who works better with another dangerous striker as he did two seasons ago in Kaiserslautern with Halil Altintop.
In my opinion, Sanogo and Zidan would kick ass for HSV......

What about Gooch Oneywu for HSV? Might be a good spot for him.

No god no :D I agree with footyfan he is pretty wise, Sanogo and Zidan would be our definite starters IMO but as far as Olic goes all he needs is to adjust I think one more year should be the key he is capable of scoring 20 goals trust me
and for Guerrero I think he is a super sub. What we need this offseason is a good solid RB and a Striker and some young players to add depth and we should be fine can't wait to see what happens. Oneywu would not fit in our plans
PS why isn't this thread title in bold?

Dude, Onweyu is not a striker. He's a central defender. And I think he would fit well at HSV. It would push Mathijsen to the bench if Kompany could stay healthy, but I think "Gooch" would do well at HSV.
I want him for BVB, but our management probably thinks he wouldn't be "good enough" because he's not European......

Kyle, the last I read about Pitriopa is that he's staying with you guys another year and then moving to Leverkusen after his contract is up.
I think the DFL should investigate Leverkusen. I think they are making back door deals for players when their contracts up outside of the time they are allowed to deal with these players.
Bayern did it for years.

It will result in a large amount of US posters invading this thread

Onyewu could fit in HSV i think. But its not going to happen.

I don't think the CD was a problem for the HSV this season.
There were only two teams (Schalke, Nürnberg) that conceded less goals.

Kompany and Mathijsen are both better than Gooch and Reinhardt is a decent cheap backup. They're solid in that department.

HSV says they are looking for a defender on their website. Maybe they should have made a push for Jansen.

I disagree on Mathijsen, but that's a good opinion nevertheless.

Nah. He'll wind up back in England because his handlers are more interested in fast money than actually developing their client's vast raw talent.....

Bayern did it for years.
Germans seem to be very liberal on this issue. One of the dfl guys was asked if there should be sanctions against bayern for contacting klose without werder’s permission, he said something like “ we can’t know what was it that they discussed”.
And remember when schalke announced that they had signed ailton and krstajić for next season in November , two months before they should even be allowed to talk to them.
Leverkusen announcing that they have a contract with helmes starting in ’08. ! if koln don’t release him this summer…
What a joke

That was because when "Bild" exposed Bayern's cheating, the DFL/DFB still refused to do anything about it. So some of the other clubs started to do it. What were they going to do then???
It all started with the DFL/DFB letting Bayern get away with it.
Leverkusen announcing that they have a contract with helmes starting in ’08. ! if koln don’t release him this summer…
What a joke
And Freiburg's Pitriopa too.....
And yes, it is sad.
But again, it all starts with the DFL/DFB being too cowardly to punish Bayern for cheating even when they were caught red-handed.
