Jol is a great coach regardless of what happened to him at Spurs. He will have your team scoring more then 40 goals. Promise. Wish you guys luck.

Hi, I can't name an exact place, but I think they can probably help you in a big sports shop / department store with a sports corner (Karstadt, Galeria Kaufhof, for example; these will be somewhere in the city centre, ask people for directions).

You will pay a bit more, but there is a sport shop right at the Rathaus (City Hall) on Marienplatz. I think they have shirts from every BL team plus most big international clubs.

They should have HSV shirts.

According to Real Madrid president Calderon, they are on the verge of buying vdV from HSV.

You guys were pretty f'n good in the Emirates Cup I have to say. Even though it was two friendlies you played some damn good football. If you keep that up during the season you'll be competeing for the title.

when the current stories are true VdV has been sold to Real for 13 Mio + 2 Mio additional cash when certain circumstances occur

Yep, it's official. VdV goes to Real. He is a dislikable Söldner but a great football player.

I hope that HSV finds an effective offensive midfielder for him. But at this time of the season it is complicated and expensive to buy strong players. I hope that HSV prepared something for this case.

For the UI CUP at best.:D

I still don't know how this guy ever became the captain of HSV. He has no class whatsoever, and treated Hamburg and their fans like s**t.

No more UI Cup after this season....

HSV will be fine. Just wait and see.

They did go UNDEFEATED in five matches without vdV last season, including a draw with Bayern and a 4-1 thumping of Stuttgart.......

As I have told the Bayern fans. You guys will be fine.

Watch out for Jonathan Pitriopa. This guy should be HSV's next big thing.

Jol will adjust and you guys will be just fine.

They did fantastic without VDV at the Emirates Cup against world class opposition.

Pitriopa was very very good in both matches.

Good riddance I say.

I agree with you about Pitriopa. It is impossible that he's going to be the "next big thing".

But don't forget he is a young talent. In his first season he cannot be an equal ersatz for Van der Vaart who won many HSV matches alone. VdV is a Weltstar and Pitriopa a second league player coming up to his first BuLi season.

In my opinion HSV needs another skillfull midfielder. VdV played "hängende Spitze" last season. Jol will probably play with just one striker this season and therfor two strong offensive midfielders are helpful (not only therefor).

btw: they actually another striker, Olic, Guerrero and Zidan are not a top team strike. But the market is empty. And they have enough medium-class players.

HSV will be fine if the can address their needs in a midfielder, who is about to replace vdV, and a more lethal striker as Zidan or Guerrero. Replaceing vdV is certainly some sort of gamble no matter for which candidate they will go (Bradley? Neves? someone else?) but it is possible to get a good player with the money they now have

I think Jol can balance the absence of VDV's match winning abilities by improving the collective of the team overall. VDV was important because the rest of the team always relied on him and got used to centering everything around him, similar to what happened at Bayern with Ribery and Toni. That took away from the rest of the team. With VDV gone now there is room for other players to step up and for a total team effort, they certainly have the players for that.
