Great fight against Bayer, but it wasn't enough to keep the UEFA-Cup dream alive.

Is HSV really interested in Boussoufa?
Wäre cool wenn der in der Bundeliga spielt:)
Hoffentlich nicht, er hat eine Vertrag bis 2010. Hopefully not, has a contract till 2010.

Kicker reports on their website that Slaven Bilic has turned down the opportunity to succeed Huub Stevens in Hamburg. Bilic has chosen to remain Croatia's National Team coach.

If Bilic does well at the Euros, a bigger club could be looking for him. But its honorable that he stays with Croatia, and that's something that we don't always see.

bilic said that he will stay until 2010 for the world cup qualifications..although like you guys said if croatia does well in euros big teams will come calling and it will be hard for him to turn down the money as he gets paid lousy money for coaching croatia..he is one of the lowest paid national team coaches in europe which is a digrace but thats our federation they only care for there pockets..

That is interesting. If you guys do well at the Euros, which I think you will, they wouldn't pay Bilic better money to keep him?

Could someone please tell Stevens and the players that it is downright stupid to stop playing football every time you get a one goal lead?

They have lost at least six or seven points because of this stuff.

As long as they play like they can, they are rather dangerous on offense and not threatened on defense.
But as soon as they have the lead, they start to sit back, don't get more than two players on the attack, stop moving and stay away from the opponents. This brings even the most inept team back into the game and is very dangerous for the own net.

If there are those two options, why do they always choose the wrong one?
I mean, there is nothing wrong with defending a lead, but why do it when there is no need for it, and why do it in a way that is so completely the opposite of a strong defense?

Dude, calm down. You could be me.

A fan of the club stupid enough to hire and keep Thomas Doll....... ;)

Just kidding. Seriously, I can understand you. :)

Bilic Would Love Old Firm Job (http://www.goal.com/en/Articolo.aspx?ContenutoId=634707)

He'd immediately go to Scotland, but not join Hamburg?

A French friend of mine teaches me Bilic is evil anyway, he won't forget that blatant play-acting leading to the exclusion of Laurent Blanc from the WC 1998 final.

He said if he wanted to go somewhere.

That list of places he would go if he wanted to go somewhere is probably a long one and probably includes HSV.

He didn't say they were the only clubs he would consider.

"Say something nice about your hosts."

Coaches get taught that as protocol. Unless the host is a bitter rival.

You're getting up in arms about nothing.

I realise I read this article VERY superficially. Or maybe I just looked at the picture.

They'd upgrade Prosinecki who currently works for free to Bilic's contract maybe :D

The good news is that VDV has picked up no injury. The bad news is that Joris was ATROCIOUS and therefor substituted. He made 2 personal errors which led to 2 goals. I don't understand since he was doing better and better at Hamburg.

Well, he's suspended the next three games anyway ;)
Maybe his injured hand hindered him a bit.

Kompany and de Jong have the uncanny ability to always be suspended at the same time, I have no idea how they do that. ;)
Will make for some interesting lineup in the next game. Hopefully Stevens actually puts someone useful in there, and not all the defensive players he can find.

no i dont think they will because all those mother ********ers care about is how much money they are going to make..i think he going to leave after euros no matter what happens..the president markovic and bilic do not even speak to each other anymore..its a shame because bilic is a good coach who likes to play attacking football..all the croatian fans hope that old goat markovic dies as he is in his late 70's..that man has been despised by the croatian fans for a long time now..all the fans needless to say love bilic..

You just have to know how to use him right ;)
He has been at the right spot in front of the goal often enough, plus he scored on some long shots.
Once a team gets on a role, it's easier to score goals, even if you aren't much of a scorer.

Another pathetic effort by the team today. They did absolutely nothing in the first half, the only ones who tried anything where Trochowski and Olic. It's simply unacceptable that the team gets nothing done once the opponent puts 10 men on defense.
Second half got a bit better when Zidan replaced the injured Olic, but that ended when Jarolim got a red card. They had their chances and eventually tied the game, but that isn't enough. Stevens really needs to wake up, he has done nothing to get the team going. van der Vaart was more than invisible again.

You can't always count on your rivals losing as well. Hamburg should be savely in second place by now, maybe even right at the heels of Bayern, instead the lead over the sixth place team is vanishing more and more.

Jarolim got suspended for four matches for grabbing Bielefeld's Markus Schuler's crotch in the HSV's last match.

What an idiot Jarolim is.

HSV has accepted the suspension. There will be no appeals.
