A loss against werder is always annoying.
But I really didn't expect us winning this anyway after a 15 game streak of not losing. There comes a time where you just have to give in. Best that it was a team like werder and not Rostock.
For a comparison werder has more difficult games in front of them now.
they play: Hannover (away) and Bayer 04 (home)
we play: Energie Cottbus (home) and Karlsruhe (away)

For us these are winable games. Werder will have more difficulty. So we might be able to close the gap again for the winter break.

Nice late minute goals against Zagreb- 0:2 for Hamburg, just a home win against Basel will get them top.

I'm really happy that this was a Wednesday game, they always lose if they have to play Saturday after Thursday-Uefa Cup games. ;)

They really need to change that. Either have more Sunday games or put UEFA-Cup games on Wednesdays. It simply isn't acceptable that teams get punished for playing in European-competition.

All together, I think our best striker right now is Ivica Olic.

He scored 16 goals for club and country, including today's vital away goal. Good effort ;)

Uih, uih, bad x-mas joke for Rafael Van der Vaart.

http://www.bild.t-online.de/BILD/sport/fussball/bundesliga/vereine/hsv/2007/12/19/weihnachtsfeier-trikot/mfb-8166148-trikot-qf,templateId=renderScaled,property=Bild,height=225.jpg

At the HSV x-mas party he got an orange Valencia shirt
with the name "Van der Verrat" from his teammates.
This means translated "Van der Vaart, the betrayer."
It´s because of his try last August to move to Valencia.

As a Bremen fan i might laugh about such stuff,
but that goes a bit too far. :(

He looks about to cry. Could be pushing him to Juve in January.

Is that a real picture? Seems pretty damned mean spirited. That could be a photoshop job of a picture from the summer when the Valencia rumors were flying.

Look at the letters and numbering, fake.

the bild article says he took it in good spirit, and had a good laugh about it.

not sure about the picture though.

it looks like it's daytime, don't think that's when Christmas parties happen. and the shirt looks to big, as it wasn't from that picture. add to that that all this is from the bild, so i don't know how seriously all this should be taken.

edit:

just had a look at the hsv forum , they're saying the guy on the left is a spanish jornalist who was on the picture they took this summer of van der vaart with the valencia shirt.

bild took that picture and photo-shoped it to say van der veraat

LOL

and van der vart could fit 3 times into that shirt

they don't call them bloed for nothing

PITROIPA

enjoy him HSV...probably the most skilled player we've had for many years...When he plays for the team, he is just incredible and very exciting to watch....But sometimes he gets carried away takes too many touches or trys to dribble past too many players and loses the ball.

heres what you can expect from him on a good day

goodluck Pit, you'll be missed a lot - hope to be playing against you next season :(

Belorussian international Anton Putsilo has joined on loan from Dinamo Minsk. If he impresses, you have a 2.5 mio euro option to make it permanent.

Heard of Putilo before. Supposed to be a pretty good prospect. Could be the next Hleb.

There is quite the discussion about his name ;)

Apparently, from Russian to German it would be Putilo, from Belarusian to German it would be Putsila, but somehow they use Putsilo, a mixtured of both.

Ah, who cares, as long as he's doing his job. He looked pretty good in the first few minutes he got against Vasco da Gama.

I believe he's naturally a central attacking mid, so I'm guessing he's the solution when vdV leaves?
