Is it just me or can everyone see that zenden is slow, one footed and can't go past anyone????

Why is mark gonzalez not being played, even a half fit glory hunting kewell would get my nod ahead of zenden. I know he has experience but when your mince it doesn't matter how much experience you have.

The milan full backs aint great so if we can run them about i think we will have a great chance tonight.

(my own personal prediction, 3-0 to the pool, fowler hat-trick  )

Mark Gonzalez is fast, one-footed and can't go by anyone.

What makes him better than Zenden? At least Zenden can complete a pass and defend.

Zenden was not his best, but I think we were really limited. Obviously the only left winger that was ready to go for 90 minutes was Gonzo, neither Harry nor Zenden were fully fit as Benitez had suggested.

Zenden is not as slow as he looked today - obviously not a 100%...
What an interesting season we've had when the question if Zenden will be fit for the Champs League final is of critical importance :D. Let's not knock the man - he gave it his all - he's only our 3rd or even 4th option when all are healthy.

True say.

I actually would have preferred Gonzo to Zenden, but it shouldnt have mattered. We outshot them 17-7. They converted their chances (one being lucky) and we didn't. That's your game.

He is decent at best and worked hards. I dont want to pin the lost on his shoulders but I will say hopfully it will be the last time I see him in a Liverpool kit.

I would never pin the loss on Zenden's shoulder, he just wasn't fully fit today which made him a step slower and more tenative. That's a natural feeling when someone plays injured. I actually like Zenden, and it's been mentioned before on this forum, he gels the locker room well and is a good veteran to have around. Maybe he has a future as a coach or manager, maybe as a assistant coach with Liverpool.

He's been told he can talk to other teams. Officially.

Again an honorable servant for two seasons -- it is time to say farewell. Hopefully we can move to a position where these kind of stop gap players aren't necessary.

Shifting from Zenden to Gonzo.
I dont think Mark Gonzalez was given enough play time, specially for being so young (One, if not the youngest on the team) and because it was his first season.

Tevez had 26 matches of playing as a starter and he sucked, he got good only at the end. Gonzalez had 25 matches but in half of them he only entered in the last 15 minutes.
All in all, i think its better for his career to play in Betis because then he would be starting, And its not easy to play in Liverpool as it is one of big clubs in the world.
