In the world cup Ronaldo did not do the tube sock technique in most of the games. Maniches is not doing anything...I Dont know about adidas but Nike real professional team kits are given a special sock with a material thats different from the rest of the sock for the foot part. This is why maniches sock looks white near the foot part. There not the regular nike socks you buy at the store you have to have special connectioins to get them. Heres a picture of Ronaldo doing the tube socks with some nike socks that did not have the special material at the foot.

You can see his nike tube sock which is pretty long that behind his green sock.
Another example of the sock maniche and Ronaldo are wearing in the world cup is USMNT blue socks have it also.

As you can see the greyish white part near their cleat they also have the special material. I do not know where to get these socks besides ebay or asking a player personaly.

i have 2 pairs of nike's just like those in the 2nd pic

as far as what ronaldos wearing he is wearing compression sleeves these sleeves help blood circulation as well as keep your shin in place seems like the tube and cutting is just another way of doing it but if i were trying it i would simply buy the compression sleeves in different colors

and id probz get some facial expressions like => :eek:
the question is, have u guys ever tried glad wrap under the socks wrapping round the shins or if ure doing this ronaldo thing,used it on the bottom part of the cut-off sock as ive seen a couple kids do it and the normal tape usually pulls the elastic threads off the sock when trying to pull the tape off.
just seemed glad-wrap was a good idea as it was transparent and it only stuck to itself thus,to ripping.

My concern with using plastic wrap is that it will get awfully wet and sweaty underneath since it isnt a very breathable material. You could try using pre-wrap (http://www.soccer.com/IWCatProductPage.process?Merchant_Id=1&Section_Id=1042&pcount=&Product_Id=2570) underneath the tape to prevent it from pulling the elastic threads.

this stuff is great i use it all the time, its like the real thing, alot wider than premier sock tape or the other stuff. you only have to go around once:

He cuts the feet of his Man Utd socks. And wears a normal white nike sports sock instead. He still puts the upper of his United sock on and takes the sock that he has cut off to the white tube sock underneath it.

Its not hard and its been answered before in this thread. Infact, bigg, why is this thread still open?! haha!
