I actually get that alot.

The name comes from an '80s TV show "Captain Power and the Soldiers Of The Future" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Captain_Power). When I was like 8 all the kids in my neighborhood would call me that. I altered it in the 90s when I wrote for 'zines and needed a pen name.

Everyone thought I gave my friend Joe the "Max Power" nickname because he caused an automatic protective action from the reactor by exceeding the max power limit during drills.

Actually, I gave him that nickname because he was fat, bald, and dim-witted. The casualty was just fantastic timing.

Now that I look at it, I think the person who designed the cover for the first "Mega Man" game had no clue what the game was actually about, so they just did a really horrible knock-off of Captain Power (then they had nap time):
