The Old Lady Hertha

Wonder how much are we going to score this time!
Gerald Asamoah suffered a hamstring injury, so he is not fit to play. It will be interesting to see what Loew does to Klose, its a good possibility that he will be dropped. Sami Khedira of Stuttgart, 20 jahre, is also considered a possibility.

Also, Bastian Schweinsteiger is out as well with a knee problem.

Löw has clearly stated he won't drop Klose no matter what (similar to Podolski's treatment) so the only question is who's gonna be his partner. That should be Kuranyi, Gomez isn't fully fit yet.
Missing Schweinsteiger certainly doesn't weaken the team. Borowski is out, too, Hitzlsperger should be starting in left mid.
I hope Löw continues to play the fullback duo Lahm-Jansen.

That line up is about right and is very strong.
I'd like to see Castro, Trochowski and Helmes get some time if we're leading comfortably...something like 7:0 :D

Hello everyone
Although I am a newbie in this site, but I had been supported Germany for a pretty long time so I want to say despite the odds is good, never ever underestimated any team, especially for Germany
Cuz we don't had any player like C Ronaldo, Rv Nistelrooy, S Gerrard, Kaka or Messi who can scored any goal very easily so never let the guard down even against team like Marino
Germany must use this golden opportunity to maximize used of lethal finishing touch that become the biggest weakness for Germany
Use every opportunity with optimal & show the world that Deutsch nationalmanschaft still can compete in world class competition
As long as Germany win with superior margin, the line up is not a problem:D

I think since we played the first game of the world cup, till the last game against the czechs, we've proven we can more than compete.

Yep, although I think A. Friedrich has been playing with an injury throughout the past weeks. Either way, wouldn't have made sense to nominate them...

Yes, me too!
:)
Although Trochowski doesn't really deserve it. My prediction is: If Helmes plays at least 45 minutes against SM he'll score a minimum of 2 goals...
