If someone will volunteer to keep track of things for the first few weeks, I'd be willing to conjure up some sort of online score keeping program. Maybe I'll try to design something and then put it up on my website. I made something similar for kataweb.it a couple years back, and i think I still have the code lying around somewhere.

For those of you who don't know me well yet, I am a programmer and I own my own programming/internet design business.

I might even have time to design something up for the CL, UEFA Cup, EPL, Serie A etc... it wouldn't be too tough to make a few changes to make it work.

We should start a BigSoccer league here:

http://www.predictionsleague.com

Makes it very simple - BigSoccer posters, more accurate results, less work for us!

Good idea. Thanks, JG.

I created a league: For users of BigSoccer.com

*The password is bigsoccer

It looks like when you join you have to give a code and a password.

Code = BigSoccer
Password = bigsoccer

I can't believe some people are suggesting Bolton will finish bottom...

That place will be taken by West Brom, Brum City or Sunderland.

Juninho's a class act and will lift the team, if not the whole city.

Actually, as I said at the beginning of this thread, I was going to suggest the running of a weekly prediction competition. I've run one on various fora for the last four years. It's run quite straightforwardly and would be open to as many people as who are interested. It's been my experience that you only get about 30 players at most who stick the season anyway.

The format is based on predicting the outcomes of the Premiership games each week including mid week matches. Sometimes, to give out extra points I include wild card games to test people's knowledge of other leagues/cups (inc Champions and FA) and give people lagging behind a chance to catch up.

The points are 3 for correct outcome and 5 for correct scoreline. Wild Card games are scored 4 and 7.

I'll post the games up each week and if someone can come up with a way of totting up scores great. Otherwise, it's relatively easy to do. Takes me about half an hour each week. Only condition is that people can only post the scores - no having to wade through commentary on people's predictions. There is a prize but I haven't decided on one yet.

Shout if ye're interested.

(SHOUTING)!!!

We can start a seperate thread ONLY for people to list there Week 1 predictions. We can tell a mod to delete anything off-topic.
