oh i misunderstood then. sorry. Yes the performance was bad.

In other news:

Miro Klose appologizes to Werders management and fans for meeting with Bayern. He says the meeting was only information, not about any contracts, and, it was 20 minutes long. He also regrets not telling the management before going. Klaus Allofs responds by saying that he accepts the appology, but it is not an issue... Klose would not be sold within germany anyway.

Changing the subject a bit -

SCHALKE LOST TODAY!!!!

Best luck for your weekend match v. Bielefeld, Bremen can do it!!!

Schalke slip up in Bochum
Bundesliga leaders FC Schalke 04 were beaten in Friday's Ruhr derby in Bochum, leaving the door open for Werder Bremen to go top.

A 2-1 defeat at VfL Bochum left Schalke's pole position in the Bundesliga hanging by a thread

Can anyone here offer me some help. There is a certain chant performed by werder fans, not sure what it says but it starts with 6 syllables and ends with "Bremen-o! Bremen-o! Bremen-o-o-o!"? I heard it on FIFA 2007 and it left me with my mouth open. Any help will be greatly appreciated. If maybe a video or audio clip could be provided as well, that'd be great, danke.
Anyone?

Anyone?

Hi, i don´t exactly, what you mean, so i can only guess,
perhaps something like this:

Here are some songs: songs (http://www.egalwie-werdergewinnt.de/sounds.php)

And at youtube you need to search for something like "Werder Fangesang",
means "Werder fan chant" in German.

Schalke left the door open and Bremen couldn't do it!
Both of you choked and handed the Meisterschale over to Stuttgart!

Even if '04 gets all 3 points against Nuernberg (1 point is more like it), they're going to drop 2 (possibly 3) in Dortmund.

And Werder won't catch up because they'll drop points in Berlin.

VfB will beat Mainz at home and if we can get a win in Bochum (maybe a draw will be enough), then we'll be top of the table with only Cottbus to beat at the GDS.

Weiβ rot Weiβ rot ... bis in den Tod!

No one's handed over anything...we're behind Schalke, not in front of them. We(Bremen too) cannot become champions unless they slip up. And even if they do(which may well happen, since they've got some tough games ahead of them), we'll still have to win all three games to become champion, and our games won't be easy either, especially the one in Bochum.

Bremen still has a chance for the title, the last three weeks are going to be extremely tense and exciting for all three teams, and we'll just have to see what happens. Right now i'd rate the title chances for the three teams as Schalke 40%, Stuttgart 30% and Bremen 30%, and we'll just have to see who takes it in the end.

Bremen should've done better, but that's life. I think they actually went into all-out attack too early on. Both of Bielefeld's last two goals after Bremen's equalizers came due to the fact that the Bremen defense was easy to get around since the tactic had switched to complete attack. It was perhaps a mistake by Schaaf, though it could've paid off. In this case it didn't: Bremen went for all or nothing, and ended up with nothing, whereas it would've perhaps been better to just settle for a bit less.

gahh, we totally blew a great chance to top the table! what a sucky week it's been for bremen. the race is even righter now. i think there is a chance that schalke will lose again.. but i'm not sure about stuttgart. werder HAVE to win the remaining games.

Yea no more symantecs, Bremen needs to win their last few games, and if they do, then we have done all we can to win the trophy. We sure blew an amazing chance to take control, but this has just not been Bremen's week. We need our starters back!!!!!!!!

i'd be happy with a 1:0 this thursday.. just to get some morale into the team. We needed to win... a tie wouldn't have done much except stay in front of stuttgart

I watched Bielefeld - Bremen yesterday and was pretty unimpressed by Bremen's defense again, especially Fritz and Owomoyela.

Also, why are the green in the jersey and the green of the pants so different? That looks really ugly.

Well, I thought Bielefeld's performance showed that once again, a lesser team working hard and showing tenacity can beat a more talented team not showing the same level of work and tenaciousness.

But I do also agree that maybe Werder should have been happy with the draw.....

But then again, maybe they thought that would be their only chance to overtake Schalke.

You guys keep winning. You will get another chance.

why is Clemens Fritz such a sure starter? He is so pedestrian, hardworker yes but can't dribble, can't shoot and can't cross the ball. He needs to be gone this summer.

Fritz is no bad player as some said here, but he made too many matches this
season, so his is exhausted and his performances doesn´t look convincingly on the pitch currently.
The problem was, that Owomoyela was injured for long parts of the season,
so the only substitution option for Fritz was Pasanen, who had a very bad phase for some parts of the season.
Currently Owomoyela needs to play left defender, because Wome and Schulz were injured the last weeks. Wome and Schulz will return soon (ok, Schulz already returned), so Werder will have a real left-defender on this position again.

That both, Owo and Fritz, need to improve (based on the current performances)
and will do, is clear for me.

There is morale in the team, they equalized two times.
That in Barcelona there was no morale is also clear for me, there i missed
also many other basic things, that are necesary to play football
(tacklings, markings, ...), but in Bielefeld is saw these things,
but also fatal mistakes (chance using efficience like a non-pro side in the attack, total blackouts in defense),
that let the team loose the match.
This has to do with concentration, the players must get their remaining
stregth together and get sucess as a team again.
