Apparently they did monitor his situation and at some point approach him.Barcelona would pay the transfer fee, but denied to pay him the salary he asks for, so the talks of the transfer disappeared.

Hoeness said Klose has given them a sign of intent that he would like to join Bayern, either now, or after he's free.Werder should sell him.They got a reasonably good scouting network and replaced everybody they sold in the past few years, no matter how important he looked like at that time.

It's not a matter of out scouting being poor. I'm sure Rosenberg can replace klose and even be better with almeida or hunt. The fact is that Klaus Allofs and company are not desperet for money and can resist bayern (why let them have a player who has proven BuLi success and let them become a big power next year again?). Sell him outside germany? yes i'm 100% for it. But i think he doesn't have as many offers as it seems. And i still don't think he will go anywhere this summer but i hope he does. Rosenberg needs a masterplace in the starting 11, the other spot can be faught with klose and the others.

As far as I know, no. That isn't true at all. But maybe he or she knows something I don't.......

If Barcelona were even remotely interested he wouldn't have gone through the whole soap opera with Bayern. Bremen asked him to find a club from abroad, he couldn't. I believe a deal between the two clubs has been done already but Bremen want to sign a replacement first.

But obviously I wouldn't mind if Keith was right.

you quoted my post where I asked if he'd had talks with them already to have it break down due to differences over his wages, when you said "barca are still interested", so I thought you were acknowledging that talks had taken place already once but barca were still trying. Which was why i was confused

the worst thing would be for klose to go to bayern on a free.

i would love to see klose in barcelona next season, with rosenberg taking his place in bremen.

if not barcelona, then any other big club outside of germany.

if this thing about a divorce is true then klose might want to stay inside germany to be closer to the kids. he might want to be close to his people.

but otherwise i'd love to see him at barcelona whose style will fit him (like bremen's does really)

From what i hear, Barcelona have turned to Racing Santander giant Zigic, and are close to an agreement.And to be honest, i would drop Klose for Zigic if i would be in the position to chose.If Allofs could get Zigic, he'd probably pay Klose's travel expenses to get him to Munich.

Thats my view on it.When Micoud left, people where thinking about who would replace 'le chef' when Ailton left, the same stuff.I can't remember the last Bremen player that wasn't replaced, or did Bremen not cover the loss of Ismael and Krstajic?Fabian Ernst etc.

They may get both players from what I'm hearing.....

And we totally disagree. There's no way in hell I'd take Zigic over Klose. No way in hell.

i thought the latest news was that Eto had cleared up rumors, that he wants to stay instead
