So, russo has finally (about f'in time) to play reserves in the league play.
Sadly it took an injury to Riquelme to make him realize that the Copa Libertadores should be the number 1 priority
Lineup for tomorrow:
-Caranta-
-Facundo Roncaglia-Silvestre-Cahais-Clemente
-Ledesma-Battaglia-Dátolo
-Marino-
-Boselli-Marioni-
Ledesma is playing. Is that because he is suspended for the upcoming game?? Or is it just because he missed the last one and thus has already ben rested??
Palacio, Banega and Cardozo will be ready to come off the bench.
Though it is a weak team, i think they should be able to at least beat Quilmes (the worst team in the top division by far)

Ledesma is not suspended for the game in Asuncion. He was only given 1 match suspension.
WTF ... and Orteman? Is Russo planning in using him in Asuncion as a starter over Ledesma? Or is it that he thinks that Roman won't make it for that game and will play a 4-4-2 with Ledesma - Orteman - Banega - Neri ?
Other than that, what did Mondaini do wrong in that game against Toluca at home? Would rather see Marioni and Mondaini start and have Boselli as the power sub at some point in the 2nd half.

well, they said in ole today that russo has changed the lineup since san lorenzo won
stupid russo
so instead of htat 4-3-1-2, they will be playing 4-4-2
Caranta
Urriballa(sp)-silvestre-cahais-clemente
ledesma-battaglia-orteman-datolo
palacio-boselli/marioni
i dont kno why the change in the youth that plays RB, but Palacio is in and it looks like Marioni will start, though I'd like to see Boselli or Mondaini get the nod instead

Sorry to pester like a newb but since cycling season kicked off, I haven't spent as much time behind the PC and TV but what exactly is the injury to Roman? Was this sustained before during or after the Libertadores match? Not that it would be an excuse for a subpar performance but I was just wondering.

he got it in the second leg of the Velez game, but has played through it. but with fatigue and everything it has gotten worse (finally russo decided to rest him)
Boca is up 2-1 against Quilmes
Datolo and palacio scored the goals
IMO Datolo should play against Libertad over Cardozo

The accumulation of games was taking a toll on the team. The missed passes, from players with good foot, was there to see. And the 2nd halves were not as intense, physically.
Very glad that Russo finally gave rest to some of the players of the 1st team. These subs would play in most of the teams in the tournie ... including the top 4. It is about giving them some games. Most probably a bit late to gain their rythm properly, but certainly should be used, at least, in a 50/50 ratio until the end of the Clausura.
An important note thou ... lets try to avoid using youngsters that are making a debut, like the kid Urribarri. There will be time for the inexperienced to play, not in the last meters of the race to the title. Yesterday, against the weakest team in the league, is understandable. But getting Cata back, and in 10 days having Maidana ready as well, should give Russo the depth in the back that he needs to accomplish an experienced 11, with a mixture of 1st team and subs, until the end of the Clausura. Morel can once again play the left back in some of the games ... and Clemente can oxygen both Morel and Ibarra. The rest of the team has plenty of players to fulfill the rotation.
