I just wanted to throw out a couple names of legendary players who never got the credit that they deserved because either their club or international careers were cut short by injury or a subpar country that couldn't qualify.
Grzegorz Lato: Goalscoring Polish legend in the World Cup here in the States.
Toto Scillachi: Italian stud who had his international career cut short
Billy Bremner: A fiery Leeds legend
Careca: If it wasn't for him, Maradona wouldn't have been the legend he was at Napoli
Thoughts? Other Players?

What about Rafael Gordillo ? A top player but never got the recognition from the media of say Butragueno, Michel or Martin Vazquez.

Carlton Palmer - couldn't get to the wrold cup because England were crap when he played for them.........sorry, because he played for them. Still a legend though - worst player to ever play for England - thank you Graeme Taylor for some of the worst moments of my life as an England supporter.
