Yesterday, Fuham announced a new Sponsor partnership which will officially be launched July 1st. LG Electronics will be the new title sponsor after signing a contract through 2010 with our beloved Cottagers. The Fulham website states it is "the most significant" sponsorship agreement in the history of Fulham. I'm guessing that means it is the richest - although I've been unable to locate any official numbers on the agreement. Along with becoming the new title sponsor, LG will install flat panal TVs and new LED perimeter boards around the pitch.

As for the new kit, the "smiling face" will be featured. There is also the rumor that has yet to be confirmed (but has very storng legs considering what the team has been wearing on the sidelines) that the new kits will be made by Nike and not the French outfit Airness that currently makes the Cottagers kits. The launching is going to be sometime this summer (duh) bt no time is given. The website claims the new kit will "reflect the Club's historic past with a modern revision of the home shirt." What does that mean? I don't know. I guess we'll all find out together.

It probably means it would like a classic Fulham kit, but made out of space age matierial. So it'll be like the uns Nike made for the US, the Netherlands, and Brazil for the World Cup. Straight lines and solid prints.

I hope they put up a nice scoreboard. The current LCD is pretty much garbage. Now, sure, it fits with the old school field, but it is kind of hokey.

I'm admittedly not a huge fan of the circle logo (if that's all they use). However, I'm very interested to see what Nike does with the kits.

Hopefully they'll be more available, and hopefully the Nike connection will help make them more available here in the States.

Im glad to hear rumors of a new kit company. The Airness kit just doesn't fit right and it's made of polyester that doesn't breathe.

Looks like $6 million per year for 2 years with an option for a third. Apparently Airness still has 2 years left on their kit contract with Fulham.

By the way, does Craven Cottage really need new perimeter boards?

How will I ever replicate that shirt in Winning Eleven?

With LG as the sponsor, a white home shirt and a red and black striped away shirt, I hope Fulham don't schedule a friendly match with Sao Paulo. :D

Why can't we post pictures in this forum?

Anyway, what a gorgeous classic looking kit. I can't wait to get one.

The shirt is okay, it just looks waay plain - like they bought a cotton white shirt, put a couple of logos on it, and that's the shirt. I'm not mad at it, maybe I need to see it up close to have a more favorable opinion of it, but my opinion is "blah."

The idea is for it to look plain, like the kits they used to wear in the 60s and 70s. White, Black, White. That's all you need. I think the shirt is classic and I can't wait to get my hands on one.

that is why i like it a lot. simple, classic. i love the shirts that are simple (like the shirts from the 70s), no need for strange swathes of color on shirts, etc.

No such thing. Ever. Of course, I'm a traditionalist.
