Tahuichi forward & Bolivian U-17 member Carlos Sabja just loaned to Benfica, Portugal. Good luck Carlos

Tahuichi alumnus Gustavo Pinedo no longer on loan at Cadiz, Spain. He's now officially been bought by Cadiz.

Nice. Good to see PInedo become official not just on loan. Any idea on how they are doing in the spanish 2nd division? Last i heard they were at pretty high up on the table, close to promotion.

Edit:

There are the standings, looks like valladollid is gonna get promoted and thats why pena is looking to going there after hes done wtih villareal.

Not too good on cadiz though, they are in 8th....

I'd rather see him at River, as he was offered to go there right after he signed his papers for cadiz....... FACT

well if he went to river, what would have been his goal?...to go to europe, correct? He's already in Europe and will soon have his EU passport. If he had gone to River or Rosario he'd have to bust his ass to go to Europe then wait another 2 years to get his EU passport. I think he's fine where he is, once he gets his passport & continues to improve many doors will open for him. I wish him the best, and after seeing this video a friend sent me I like him even more & will be rooting for him.

So did any of you guys ever get to train in the famed Tahuichi academy?

unfortunately no, futbol was always my passion but I was 10x better @ Bball. 2 of my cousins trained there one is currently in the aurora youth system he's 14 (can't wait to get him out of there) the other was offered to play in 2nd Division in France at 18, but decided to go the school route instead.

Most of the people I've met that went there however are Americans, they've all loved it. However, most didn't take it seriously & just went to party, mess with the local camba girls, and have a "cool" experience.

I was amazed @ how well known the academy is. I spent quite a bit of time overseas in Asia and Europe and I was shocked how many people brought up Tahuichi when I told them I was from Bolivia. Even met a few aussie ex "tahuichi way" alumnus at a bar in Sydney Australia...totally random WTF

The field for the Mundialito Paz XIII Mundialito "Tahuichi Paz y Unidad 2008" is all set. Here are the participants. January 6 - 13

Seleccion de Paraguay
Cerro Porteno - Paraguay
Nacional - Uruguay
Danubio - Uruguay
Def. Sporting - Uruguay
Estudiantes - Argentina
Universitario - Peru
Saint Benedicts Academy - USA
Tecos - Mexico
Autlan - Mexico
Cruz Azul - Mexico
Chivas - Mexico
Maracaibo - Venezuela
Florida - Bolivia
Tahuichi - Bolivia
Seleccion de Puerto Rico

I gotta say the favorites going in have to be Paraguays national team, Tahuichi, Chivas (who played great last year), and Danubio who always do well.

I caught a couple of the games last year, met a lot of the Chivas folks who came down, nice people. We'll see if Tahuichi can repeat again as champs.

I wonder how many players from Tahuichi Coach Donovan (St. Benny's) will pluck this year.

Yes this would be Tahuchichis 100th tournament championship. Couple of updates on the teams. St Benedicts Academy (USA) and seleccion de Puerto Rico had to drop out of the tournament. St Benedicts couldn't get their Visa paperwork done on time (thanks Evo ) and Puerto Ricos seleccion sighted the political atmosphere in Bolivia for not attending. Late entry to the tournament is Mexicos seleccion nacional sub 15.

Yesterday was the first day of the tournament & here are the results:

Seleccion de Mexico 4
Nacional (Uru) 3

Chivas (Mex) 0
Def Sporting (Uru) 0

Florida (Bol) 0
Cerro Porteno (Par) 4

Cruz Azul (Mex) 1
Autlan (Mex) 2

Tahuichi (Bol) 3
Universitario (Per) 1
