well eastern europe and middle european clubs have been eying Thompson for a while, this move could be good . i remeber el Bala Gomez played there a while ago, and Rapid Vienna could be in Uefa Cup next year and freddy could get lots of face time there. maybe this could get Europe interested in some of Guate's U-20's who surprised in the YWCQ.

I think it was Medford who played there, not la Bala. ;)

Nice little interview with freddy about his possible move this June

since he is a free agent he can do the following

he can do the following

Sign a 1 year with SK Rapid Vienna

Sign with The LA Galaxy

Sign with Municipal

Sign With Marquense

renogotiate with Comunicaciones , unless they don't pay him the last 2 months of wages

he was quoted saying

"todo sobre el futuro de mi carrera lo maneja mi representante. Hay varias ofertas tanto en Guatemala como en el extranjero, pero ninguna es segura de momento”.

The Galaxy is offering more $$$ than Rapid.

I'd like to see him sign with the Galaxy. It would be better for Guatemala as well because he'd always be available for selection.

where would he fit though in Galaxy replacing Pete Vegenas , Thompson plays in the"hole" #6 role .. in SK Rapid at least he would play in the Uefa Cup

looks like Municipal won the bidding war.

Rojomania is reporting that Freddy is inking a 5 year deal with Municipal,

but now any move abroad will be controlled by Muni president Gerardo Villa

who recently sold Ruiz, and loaned players to some of europe's respected clubs

the Move is being dubbed as " Municipal bought a new Motor"

here is a pic

i think Municipal wanna buy his contract because his appeal in europe is going up and he is about hit his Prime, So Gerardo Villa wants the exclusive rights to sell Thompson to the highest bidder.

so if rene is correct tomorrow the signing will happen
