I was looking at TVs in Sears today when all of a sudden this MLS commercial/music video comes on (music was a rock song by Headstrong). It was about 5 minutes of nice highlights - 2002 stuff, Twellman goals and Diallo scoring for Metro - then some promotional things ("MLS, official partner and FIFA World Cup broadcaster", log onto MLSnet.com).

Pretty strange to see. It was just a typical store reel with some music videos and technical stuff, just to have something to show on the TVs. But it was well done, people who weren't paying attention before watched and enjoyed it. Just a little shocking, anyone else seen anything like that?

I saw the same type of thing in a Sams Club last month. It was pretty cool.

I saw a similar thing at Circuit City about a month ago advertising the MLS all star game. Very cool to see on a high definition tv.

Saw it at Target today, or something very much like it. What the hell is going on here?

I haven't seen it, mostly because I have no money and therefore don't belong in a electronics store but that does sound like some very good publicity.
MLS has probably paid a fee for them to show that highlight reel. If they did do that that's a pretty good target, mostly males with disposable income at those stores.

Actually I havent seen a lot of stores that carry Phillips Electronic merchandise. I dont think Circuit City carries it and I normally only go there though. I doubt Sams Club does either. I could be wrong, but I dont see much of Phillips' stuff....
