We just need to wait for Basile to give us the list of convocados for the Copa America, and from there we can determine possible lineups and formations.

can we assume Messi and Tevez will be there?

Sure why not, but we can also assume that Batistuta and ortega will be there.:p

I'm not trying to be an a-hole or anything but I'm just tired of reading about assumptions and possible line-ups. I want the Copa America to start already damnit.

has this thread already been started? If so I can read the speculations on the other threads, I wasn't sure if the lineup had been officially announced yet. I guess not...I'm dying over here, the potential of our squad is insane!

Unlike with Brazil, Argentina look like they will have a really strong line-up. Leo Messi, Carlos Tevez, Hernan Crespo, Javier Zanetti and Juan Seba Veron have all said they want to go. And, I've read elsewhere that defenders Roberto Ayala and Gabriel Heinze have made similar promises.

Basile said that there is a list of 40 players that will reveal by the end of this month, only 13 from Europe and the rest from Argentina, and from this 40 list by the end of june he will pick 22 and 3 goalkeepers :/ so lets wait

lol with the lineup you made, the first one is better.
The second lineup is def NOT going to be the lineup for the Copa America. Just look at it, we would have to score 6 goals a game in order to win because the midfield will get run over. It would be only Gago defending
