I live in England, London. Going to colombia for 3 months and going to take some time off to see Colombia play all three games in Venezuela.

I have found a bus service that goes from Santa Marta to Maracaibo in like 6 hours. I plan to stay there too, then watch the second match against Argentina and then head to Barquisimeto against USA. How is the transport in and around Venezuela? If possible I want to visit Caracas! too. Any help is appreaciated.

-anyone know the route from santa marta to maracaibo?!
- i dont even have a hotel, can i just turn up somewhere?
-maracaibo to bariquisemeto, is it near?
-barquisimeto to caracas? i can travel by train but no plane (only if extremely cheap).
-para volver en tren a San Cristobal con la connexion comunidad andina para empesar la ida al valle de Colombia.

:) :) :)

This is what I said in another thread

I recommend you sending an email to some of the UA-Maracaibo fans,
they are the best bet to get some help on that

Here's one of their webpage with a few emails to contact them.

Here's another one

Venezuela doesn't have a train system (yet)
the best way to get around is by bus.

Maracaibo-Barquisimeto: Should be about 3-4 hours by car/bus
Barquisimeto-Caracas: Should be about 4-5 hours by car/bus

Caracas has a really nice subway system, just try to get a hotel somewhat close to subway station

The gray line on this map in not in service yet

Tachira is a little far away,
I believe it is about 6 hours away from Maracaibo and Barquisimeto
