well sometime ago, someone posted a youtube vid on BigSoccer, titled "the great/modern cities/buildings/architecture of Iran" or something along that lines.
but when i watched it, there was a photo of a great looking modern building in a very metropolitan surroundings which was a great surprise:
a. cos it was so modern and well designed
b. cos it was familiar.
infact it turned out to be a pretty famouse building in Seoul, called the COEX Building, on Teh-he-ran Street. Obviously the Iranian video maker did an internet search for pics in Tehran and the results included pics of this building and he put them in the vid without really knowing much about it. Probably doesnt live in Iran.

Not in modern context, as Persian is no longer a nationality, but rather an ethnicity. But historically, the use of the term "Persian" included all the various ethnic, linguistic and racial groups of Iran, whether native to the Iranian Plateau or not. (e.g. Iranian Arabs or Africans)
The Iranian blacks are mostly decedents of slaves from Zanzibar (Tanzania) who were taken to Oman by the Arab and Portuguese traders, and later took refuge in Iran where there was no slavery.

Taking pictures of random guys on a beach seems weird to me but it looks like its hot at hell in Kish , I would never got to that place during the summer.

Well Gilani´s, Kurds, Lors, Baluch, and Azeri´s (Azeri´s are only tork by language) are all Aryans and thus from the same race and thus not from a diverse or different ethnic. Arabs (semitic) and Turkmen are from a different ethnicity.

It was indeed hot as hell in Kish and it is def a place which is better to visit when it's not summer, however in kish you can wear shorts and ' asin halgheye ' where as in Tehran you can't, so even tho Kish is way hotter than Tehran you don't notice it as much, plus you don't need to do much walking in kish, as taxies (which are all brand new toyota camries with powerful 'kulers') are damn cheap and are all over the place so since you won't do much walking under the sun you won't feel the heat that much.
Might I also add that the 7 star ( ) darius hotel in Kish was the best and most beautiful hotel I had ever been to, and from what I read in the guestbook of the hotel's lobby (I went to kish with 2 of my cousins, both girls and their friends, so it was me and 7 girls, i.e when we wanted to go somewhere I always had to wait 2 hours for them to get ready, hence me reading the guestbook...anyways!) all the other visitors Iranian and non-Iranian thought the very same.

Tehran is hot during the summer but its not humid like it is here in Maryland . I don’t mind the summer in Tehran , its not that bad compared to here but it’s the pollution that makes it bad . Spending hours in traffic in Tehran during the summer is the worse thing ever .
