Teso Dos Bichos

Hmm, I'll have to disagree with you on this point Teso. They've been okay this season, but as individuals and as a paring, they've performed below par. Comparing their goal output to the top 2 forwards of other sides and they seem to fall up short.
Drogba & Shevchenko (:D)
McCarthy & Santa Cruz
Rooney & Tevez - 28 goals
Yakubu & Johnson - 28 goals
Cristiano Ronaldo - 33 goals
Adebayor & Eduardo - 35 goals
Berba & Keane - 42 goals
Gerrard & Torres - 46 goals
That's just looking at the Premiership alone. None of these partnerships have had ideal seasons but they've produced more goals than Rooney and Tevez this season. Heck, even Ronaldo has got more goals than both of them put together! In spite of their setbacks, that's just not good enough.
Before Rooney's second injury, they looked very good together but since then they've struggled to mesh together. They rarely both have good games when playing together and it's most likely a #9 of sorts would free them up so they can play their natural game and be more effective. Like you mentioned though, they should perform better next season but this season has been a disappointing one for both Wayne and Carlito.
I don't understand how you can detail the reasons why both players have not been at their best but then completely ignore that when comparing them to others. At no stage did I say they were in exceptional form but what I did say was considering the problems we have had their return is pretty good at this stage. There is obviously room for improvement and I will be expecting that after both have had the summer off.
You claim that your examples above are looking at the Premiership alone but that is incorrect. I've added the Premiership for you below and taken the liberty of adding assists and minutes played. I also changed the order so that it reads from most to least minutes played:
Gerrard & Torres - 30 goals and 13 assists in 4468 mins
Berba & Keane - 27 goals and 16 assists in 4439 mins
McCarthy & Santa Cruz - 20 goals and 6 assists in 4092 mins
Rooney & Tevez - 19 goals and 15 assists 3780 mins
Adebayor & Eduardo - 23 goals and 9 assists in 3351 mins
Yakubu & Johnson - 18 goals and 5 assists in 3124 mins
* Cristiano Ronaldo - 24 goals and 3 assists in 2115 mins
Drogba & Shevchenko - 10 goals and 10 assists in 1765 mins
* not really a partnership and he could easily be included in one with either Tevez or Rooney when you consider what has happened this season
I don't think that is a bad record when you take into account everything you mentioned in your bump and everything I have posted. While they are beaten by four partnerships out of your list, three of those have played considerably more minutes of football and all bar one contains natural strikers. That one is the Gerrard/Torres partnership which we have only seen as a partnership recently. Quite why you chose to ignore the likes of Kuyt and instead added Gerrard, something you could only legitimately call a partnership recently is beyond me. As is your decision to ignore Anelka. Now we are currently arguing over end product and not anything else that any of the above players provide to their team. Let's not fall into that trap.
Fundamentally I do not understand how you can claim that they have had a disappointing season. It also disagrees with your original bump which stated 'Tevez has been brilliant thus far' and Rooney is 'having an ok season'. No-one is saying that they have been the best nor that either is in top form. All I have said is that when you take into account what we know then they have done pretty well. I don't see what is wrong with that.
