WTF is this sport all about. I was watching it let night on Sky Sports 3 ! There is no contact, the ref stops the game every 3 secs and no one makes a shot unless they are right under the basket ! What a werido sport i must say ! :D :mad:

I feel very ashamed that in my dad's country (St.Vincent) that sport is played.

This may be the most anti-feminist sport in existence. Extreme restrictions on movement, wear a "bib" describing your role, and most importantly no contact. Sounds really, um, fun.

Netball rules do not permit players to take more than one step in possession of the ball. Consequently, the only way to move the ball towards the goal is to throw the ball to a team-mate. The ball cannot be held by a player for more than three seconds at any time, and players may not tap the ball to themselves ("replay"). This, combined with the restrictions on where one player can move, ensures that everyone on the team is regularly involved in play. Defence is restricted — not only is contact not permitted, but players must be at least three feet (90 centimetres) away from a player with the ball, meaning that hard physical contact is rare. If contact is made, a penalty is given to the team of the player who was contacted, and the player who contacted must stand "out of play", meaning they cannot participate in play until the player taking the penalty has passed the ball.

I am a very open-minded person. I won't judge anyone on any of the common grounds for prejudice. But the one thing I am is a sportsist. A mad, raging sportsist and football-supremist.

Just last week after a good bit of revision, I got all dressed up for the game of 6-aside me and the lads had planned for.. I made sure everything was catered for. Checked the weather, no rain coming up. Called 2 friends to bring extra balls just incase. Then I got to the (one and only) court at our hall 5 minutes before we were to meet up... you guessed it. The lasses were playing n**ball.

I was soo annoyed, I mean, I thought all factors were checked, I even knew that the lads who sometimes play basketball there were playing at the gym that day. I would have been less angry if the concrete had transformed into sharded glass making us unable to play, but for us to miss out on our weekend dose of 5-aside because of such a rubbish, pointless sport?!?!

Argh.. this should maybe even be in the anger thread.
