Your top three cereals please - in image form..

I want to see who I should rate more and who has let me down with their choice of breakfast cereal...

I shall be challenging the British contigent with my superior cereal choices. Alas, I cannot display my cereal superiority to those outside the British Isles as I believe you eat things such as 'Lucky Charms' and other kinds of inferior product.... oh yea! I'm talkin' smack!

I believe my #1 choice will eclipse you all. I expect a strong challenge from RoM. I believe a chap who can do 'chronicles' would have excellent taste in the cereal department... it'll break my heart if doesn't...

Have at thee...

Note that the above are tastes I aquired living in Kenya where the variety isn't the greatest. I also love museli, but I don't remember the particular brand I usually have.

^^ I assume you're a sugar user?

If you eat those with just milk, you're an incredibly hard fella, Sitati.

My cereals are so great they need no enhancements but milk....I thought I'd let you know...

I endorse sitati's choices (except for Special K, which I have no real affinity for). The classics are the best - with cold milk, and nothing else. Of course, there is one other classic that's missing:

http://www.britsuperstore.com/acatalog/Kelloggs_Rice_Krispies_450g.jpg

Themed alternatives include -

(1) For that extra sugary rush...

https://www.shop.britishgoodsonline.com/images/product_128_lg.jpg

...and (2) if you're feeling hard as nails and want to acquire a taste for bran..

http://www.trulyresponsible.org/wp-content/uploadedimages/DSCF2896.jpg

The latter comes with the added bonus that you get a supremely crunchy texture (bran flakes) and a supremely squishy texture (sultanas) all mixed in together in your mouth, with cold milk releasing all the flavour. Mmm. I'm hungry....

I used to be a sugar user when I was wee - went off it for Lent one year and never went back. I now appreciate that simple pleasures need no adornment.

I think the next year's Lent got the sugar out of my tea, never went back there either. I skipped the middle stage with coffee and just never started putting sugar in.

EDIT - on the theme of 'no sugar', mhtwins113's choices emphasise why I can't eat American cereals.

I'd add oatmeal too, but I don't know if that counts. Gotta get my cholesterol down somehow!

And finally, couldn't find a picture of it, but a cereal I had in Sweden, called I believe "Start", was probably the best cereal I've ever had. I can't find it over here. The family in Sweden I stayed with was kind enough to send me a box after I got back from to the States and it lasted about a day.

There also were ice cream bars over there called 88's that were fantastic but I can't find them over here. Oh Europe, why do you taunt me so?

Leto, yu have gone up in my estimation. A man of good cereal, is a man of good stock. *adjusts monacle. I now realise you are a man's man as you take it neat (no sugar)

Alas, I must save my hand for the arrival of RoM...then I will show my third choice cereal and wow you all...

If I had sampled the non British cereals I feel I could layeth the smack down upon our overseas challengers...

1. Bit of a sweeter one here:

2. For those days when I know I'll need something that lasts:

3. The healthier one, though I usually add sliced bananas to get some sweetness:

Good sir, I'll have you know a person's cereal tells much about their character.

*re-adjusts monacle.

I have to say, even from the boxes, the American cereals look sugar-laden. Wheeeeee! I can only imagine the sugar rush!

^ The honey nut ones are good too, in fact good enough to be eaten without milk but the regular variety are the shiznit as far as I'm concerned. ^

http://www.kelloggs.co.uk/products/pack_shots/packs/crunchy_nut.jpg
^ Occasionaly I think they're too sweet but those times are rare.^

^ Surprise entry that pees all over the Kellogg's version, even though they're probably made by 'em too. Love the apple, banana and nuts.^

I sweeten my cereal with the tears of my enemies.
