San Marcos' elevation is above 7,000 ft, maybe that had something to do with it. :rolleyes:

What teams are up for promotion from the 2nd league?
Juventud Retalteca defeated Malacateco 2-0 in the 1st leg of the final. If Reu wins the series, they have to play and extra game against Malacateco because they're the Apertura champion. If Malacateco wins the series, they earn their promotion to the national league automatically.

Also if Malacateco wins, Cobán has to play a playoff with San Benito for the playoff and la U has to play Sacachispas for the other playoff, whoever wins will play Heredia and Suchi. The best team plays the 9th place team (Suchi) and the other plays 8th place team (Heredia).

If Reu wins, as mentioned before, they have to play an extra game vs. Malacateco for automatic promotion; the loser plays the playoff vs. the 9th place team (Suchi). Then Cobán has to play against la U for the other playoff vs. the 8th place team (Heredia).
