One of the most interesting things I had seen when I visited the Soccer Hall of Fame way back when was that Fenway was once used by ASL teams. Celtic even played an exhibition there. So I was wondering what you guys would say to using Fenway for soccer now. I'm sure the field would be RIDICULOUSLY small, but it could be possible. I think it would definitely add to the atmosphere and maybe use it for a friendly against Celtic again or something, maybe get Celtic and Rangers up here or something, Benfica possibly, just any team that would draw a crowd. I dunno, just thought it would be cool, what are your thoughts?

What if they move Fenway Park to Boston Common? How about then? :D

No Fenway...

People are missing the large open area to build the new Rev stadium, just off the boston coast.

A floating stadium!!! Talk about a home field advantage. Just take it out to sea when the Revs are not playing.

We will be the envy of all the fans. Just imangine the fans not only have the stands bouncing, they have the whole stadium literally bouncing!

That or the boston common for the land loving folks.

They have self-balancing pool tables on cruise ships. The technology is out there. Do we have the will?

Speaking of whacky ideas, I'm proposing one in my blog (http://bluebloodedjourno.blogspot.com/). If it reads like a bad acid trip, I'm working on the engineering part of it which will explain the idea in better detail.

It could be like those Nike ads from the 02 WC.

Of course, we could always just plant it on like Spectacle Island or something.

This is a great idea!

Did I say great? I meant stupid.

The sight lines would probably be pretty bad, but I don't see the harm in doing it as a one time deal, it would open the team up to new fans in the Boston area. There has been talk about BU and BC hosting Michigan and Michigan State either next year or the year after for college hockey at Fenway.

Those ads rocked.

"Who's on fire? Henry is on fire!"

(I'm a France fan, my friend is an Arsenal fan, that worked for both of us)

I'd go for the novelty of it, but only if it's a one-time thing.

I didn't want to play there regularly, as I had stated I wanted an exhibition between a team like Liverpool, Celtic or Benfica, or an international match, just something that would draw the main nationalities in Boston to the game, and either have the Revs play a team or have a double header (Ireland v Bolivia at Fenway would have been PERFECT). Do you think I would want to go to Fenway every week?!?!?! :p
