I have actually thought for a while about asking if anybody had thoughts about what has made RM popular in the Middle East? It seems the games are more broadly available on TV there than in the U.S.

We're crazed by footie. In kuwait even though we are more successful at other sports we only care bout footie! So its only logical the tv stations try and broadcast as much footie as they can. We used to get the NBA as well on local TV but i think they stopped that. But you can still get channels to watch the NBA if you want.
So like anything if you broadcast a sport to the poeple and you have this team beating people left and right ofcourse its going to be popular :p

By far. On regular sat. I get Bundesliga, Dutch League French League and Portoguese League. Channels you pay for offer EPL, SPL Serie A, and La Liga. Plus all the other Arab Leagues Im into and the Asian CL. I can almost watch 10 games a week.

How are the Lebanese teams going in the Asian CL? are they still there or they didnt qualify?
